Excellent coverage on this side of Rochester Hills. AT&T wireless coverage in the same area was 2 bar only.

I routinely use my Verizon phone while commuting between Rochester Hills and Port Huron. Down 59 and 94 the reception is good and calls do not drop. I have a Nextel as well and calls will usually drop on 94 a few miles west of Marysville and on 59 a few miles west of Sterling Heights (the latter I'm very suprised at). As many already know though, there are plenty of Nextel repeaters in plants throughout Michigan so that is a major advantage on their end. I have used my Nextel phone rarely for anything other than direct connect calls since they have merged with Sprint so I do not know if the calls still drop in the areas I mentioned.

Acceptable reception on Nokia 6010 from my house on AT&T Wireless network. My previous phone (LG 4011) had horrible reception and was practically useless from my house. My wife has same phone and plan, but I force her phone to use Cingular's network because the reception in the house is better with Cingular. I'd say reception on Cingular's towers is good.

Well, I just moved to Rochester Hills and it's weird to say that I only get two bars where when I lived in Armada (very small town in northern Macomb County) I got all bars. It's not really a problem, I still don't have any dropped calls and people can still hear me nice and clear. It's just funny to me that I only get two bars in a populated area.

Reception at my house fluctuates between 1 and 3 bars. Carrying on a conversation is a challenge. Otherwise, while driving, coverage is OK in most places, but I notice Cingular dead zones on I-75 near 11 Mile and 8 Mile.

When I'm in just about any store in this area I have near zero reception. At work a signal is hit and miss. Even when driving down the road with my phone in my pocket it is not uncommon to see "No Service" on the screen. I'm thinking of telling Nextel to keep the phone, and going elsewhere.

Rarely ever above 2 bars. Data service is almost non-existent, although the phone is saying it's 3G. Frequent disconnects, dropped calls, and poor reception. Technically speaking, I'm on Helio (now owned by Virgin Mobile), but they use Sprint's network and towers.
