I moved from warren where the service was ok to St. Clair shores. I stay off of the lake and constantly drop calls. I am hoping that someone else has better service

THE WORST 3G DATA SPEEDS I'VE EVER SEEN WITH VERIZON. Sometimes, I see as low as 50kbps / down and 200kbps / up.

Enter the Dead Zone, If your fortunate to live on the Lake, your unfortunatly going to have no cell phone service. I guess its too close to Canada? I have recently switched to ATT, which is better, but still drops in Grosse Pointe along Lakeshore

TracFone uses Cingular system, not Verizon(Correction).. Very good - Also works in Windsor, Canada

I have the old AT&T contract I did go with GSM but the coverage of AT&T / Cingular sucks majorly for me up north I go up there and I jump on some other network no one has heard of the coverage still jumps in an out loses calls left and right Horrible. My sister went from old AT&T to Verizon and it is much better so far everywhere. Even in Walmart and my phone the LG does not work in Walmart or hardly any other stores.

While at home (greater mack and 8 mile area) I normally get 1 or 2 bars. In the basement, zero. I noticed someplaces, like the krogers and Moys Restruant at Marter and Jefferson, I'll lose my signal (zero bars). Also lose my signal in the Blue Goose Lounge at Jefferson between 11 and 12 mile.

I live 2 blocks south of 9 Mile between Mack and Jefferson. I am rarely able to make or receive a cell call within a block of my house or if I do succeed the call is usually dropped within 30 seconds. This NEVER happened when AT&T was the carrier. Cingular reception in general is much poorer than AT&T was, and it got worse when Cingular took over!

When I get away from the lake I get good reception, If I go into grosse point I get really poor reception.

Good to average reception throughout Metro Detroit, but be careful of dead areas around Lac St. Clair ie Algonac, St. Clair, Harrison Twp. and Grosse Pointe. Service is exceptionally bad in Grosse Pointe, close to the water I supose. Overall I am experiencing more dropped call, in and out service, poor voice quality and very spotty 2 way connection. Have more problems with 2 way than positives throughtout Metro D! Good customer service, easy reading billing statements. Switching to Sprint, hope it's on point!

2 bars in back yard and 1-0 in house. Drops out completely at around Jefferson and Marter as well as I-94 and Alter. All in all the reception is bad throughout St. Clair Shores and the pointes. Roames to Canada along Lakeshore.
