	We love Alltel where we live (North Carolina) so on a recent house-hunting trip, we were glad to see we got perfect service across the entire Detroit Metro area - from St. Clair Shores to Oxford to Troy to Pontiac to Southfield. Unfortunately, it seems there are no Alltel stores near our new house, so we are having a heck of a time deciding what phone service to transfer to. Maybe we will just keep Alltel. :)

	used to have an LG phone that regularly switched from digital to analog, missed calls, dropped calls or filled my ears with static. Verizon switched me into a new, improved LG phone that was no better. I selected the Motorola because my wife's Motorola always had at least one bar better signal and the new Motorola is much better than the old LG Bottom line, for having five towers within sight of my house, reception is less than spectacular. Still have some missed calls but rarely drop one.

	I have been with T-Mobile for a little over 3 years now. I never plan on switching. They offer the best phone packages and their customer service is awesome!

	Reception is pretty good in Troy, haven't really had any problems unless I am in someone's basement.

	Intermittent at best, sometimes it takes me 90 seconds for the phone to get a good enough signal to connect, I have friends who have different phone models but are all on Verizon and they experience the same problems.

	Have tried both Sprint and Cingular (LG-4010) in this area. 2 bars at most; some dropped calls. Not good.

	Whenever Im around the Troy area, I barely ever get any reception. My phone is never more than 1 or 2 bars Max! And if its not 1 or 2, its roaming! Ive been with Sprint for almost 2 years now and Im waiting for the contract to end. My oppinion: Dont go to Sprint.

	Just left Cingular and am extremely pleased with Verizon. Best reception in the country.

	Cingular has no antennas in the Troy area. Experienced frequent dropped calls in and around the tri-county area. Couldn't wait for the contract to expire.
