Verizon 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: Samsung SCH-U740	You get 1-2 bars if you are outside, and depending where you are on campus, you can usually get 1 bar in the buildings. Otherwise, your phone will have no service or be Extended Network on Alltel. I have heard that the GSM carriers, like AT&T have better service. (I think AT&T has a tower near SVSU).

Alltel 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: Nokia 3585i	Horrible singal inside the building. Phone will ring, but you have to go outside to talk. Most Alltel plans come with free roaming on Verizon's network, however... which worked much better.
