I agree with previous poster about reception failing after Verizon took over Alltel. With Alltel our reception was about perfect, so much so my wife and I dropped our home phone service. In the last 6 months we noticed more and more dropped calls until now we have to sit in front of our glass slider to talk. Verizon quit using the Alltel towers and have not replaced them. Customer Service cares nothing about the problem, merely acts as salesperson wanting to sell you new phones or a mini cell tower.

Had good coverage from AT&T until about 2 months ago. Now we get dropped calls, phone doesn't ring and messages come in hours later. Our contract is up and we are trying to decide what company to go with. After reading reviews on this site I'm very concerned that there aren't really any good choices.

7 / 23 / 11 I have internet and phone service with sprint, the phone service is ok but the internet service is poor, slightly better than dial-up. all Sprint does is try to pacify you with working on the towers, you have a bad phone / modem, the trffic is high. needless to say Sprint will be the one to get drop at the end of my contract

Can't use Sprint on Northwest side of Cobb Lake. Really don't get a signal until approximately 142nd and Kalamazoo. I thought since Sprint joined or took over Nextel, that the towers would make the two the best coverage service. Now they tell me that "they are working on it". Yeah, right. It is really funny because I can see three tall radio towers from my house within in a mile of my residence, but they evidently don't have antennas for Sprint

Reception depends on which window I point the phone out. It will pick up Cingular in one spot and centennial in another. Can not walk around with it. I sometimes can get 3-4 bars.
