In my house 5 bars 3G, outside my house all around this city almost always 5 bars 3G no issues at all. I been with AT&T for over 10+ years and only dropped a certain amount of calls, nothing to cry about. They are reliable here and no problem at all.

The signal comes through garbled-sometimes very garbled, at other times it just happens sporadically. I switched almost 2 years ago from Verizon because of Verizon's service and attitude. Tried calling and reporting the problem. They sent me an email response saying that they would be checking on it. I'm curious to see if Cingular will report back to me. I just read an article that says I should try several phones before making a choice. Next time I guess I will.

Walking around the lower floor of the house, reception goes from 0 to 2 bars, once in a while 3. Looking to get a booster.

Have had T-Moble for a year and it really is bad.Not only in my home but I travel all over the state of MI and it is really bad except when I go up north and it switches to NPI.Since this is a corporate cell I have no decision on carriers. When I talked to T-Mobile they said I was on the "fringe" of the tower. When I told them when I do get a call the reception is bad they had me go thru some BS to fix it which it didn't.Personally if you look at there coverage it stinks and so does there phones which need to be upgraded i.e. Bluetooth etc. There customer support is useless. I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT go with T-Mobile if in the Metro Detroit area no matter how good the deal is!

Have been using Sprint PCS for 6 years in this area. Reception had been acceptable, although inside the house the signal strenght was bad. Very disappointed with T-Mobile signal strength. Calls are bring dropped every time. Standing outside the house to make the calls didn't seem to help. Called T-Mobile customer service about this and the first thing they said is 'your phone' is probably bad. Yeah right, give me a break.

I literally grew up with Verizon from their early start up company to the almighty Verizon. I left them for Airtouch because of a 40% savings in monthly expenses. My experience with T-mobile has been on the same line as with Verizon...average service, misleading phone plans, but a business necessity none the less. Reception with T-Mobile nationwide has be okay. I tend to loose calls inside buildings, when other people are talking away on their service. My basic understanding is that Verizon is the company with the most antenna stations and covers a tri-mode signal thus allowing one to make calls where "digital only" providers cannot.
Having started with a bag phone (you remember 9 - 10 lbs, be near a window to get a signal) the cellular world has become too slick. I am not sure that anyone really knows what they are getting with any provider anymore.
