There is no reception on County Hwy. 2 starting 7 miles north of Two Harbors. You can get 1 or 2 bars on the highway, but as soon as you turn off the road, there is no reception. This lack of reception continues all the way into Brimson, Fairbanks, and Toimi. This large dead zone has been dubbed 'The Brimson Triangle.' Once you get off highway 61 in Two Harbors or Duluth, the general rule is that if you can't see Lake Superior, you probably can't use your phone. Why is it the tourists in the Boundary Waters have cell service, but the tax paying residents of large portions of Northern Minnesota do not?
