Good 4 to 5 bars in and around house. Sanyo Katana phone has a maximum of 6 bars. Previously have used a Samsung A640, with much worse results. Having Sprint since 2002, I can testify that Sanyo phones have the best reception among Sprint and CDMA network phones. Opt for Dual-Band / Tri-mode phones when possible. Most Analog networks have been disabled since Feb. 2008, but some still active in remote regions.

I get solid reception throughout the city. This has been true with both my current V330 and my just retired SonyEriccson T610. I do not think I have ever dropped a call within city boundaries since the switch to Tmobile. Highly rated.
