Verizon is greatest coverage, no roaming charges, and signal strength stays at the maximum! My service is actually orginally from Montana, but we visit our families down there and the coverage and signal strenght were so great at all time. And I never got any roaming charges, since I'm still under wtihin American Choice Network coverage area all over place!

Cellular One's new GSM service in the Duluth, MN area leaves alot to be desired. I had the CDMA service and did very well for reception in most areas (There's a couple areas that almost all service providers can't maintain a call). Now that I have GSM I'm going to end my contract before the 14 day trial period is over and switch to Verizon Wireless's CDMA service, I have a couple friends who have no complaints about coverage. Sprint is sketchy in the Duluth area as well, my girlfriend had it and is switching to verizon with me, as for other service providers, I dont know. I think that GSM technology in the U.S. has along way to go before it is widely reliable, our CDMA systems have been around long enought to make for much more reliable networks.

The Uproar has been outstanding in reception throughout the Northland. I have recently aquired a newer A500, but it dies out in Rice Lake township, as the Samsung remains 3 bars, even on Fish Lake while fishing.
