I never receive 4G signal strength unless I am at Best Buy in Blaine or in other areas of signal reception. At my home we have the Sprint hotspot device with unlimited 4G and 5K limit on 3G use. Guess what, we don't get the 4G reception inside the house nor anywhere in our 6 block radious! Yet Sprint dealer said I would get the reception. Sprint needs a tower in the NE area between 242 and Bunker and east of 65 to fix the coverage for customers.

Have great reception indoors and out. Don't have any problems until I try to make a change to the existing contract, but what company dose not? Try going to Eden Prairie store by the mall in the daytime, not afternoon. There are no perfect phone company's so don't expect perfect service.

Sprint has worked very well for me in the Twin Cities over the past five years. The coverage is equal to or better than Verizon much of the time, but cheaper for more minutes. People complaining with T-Mobile and ATT: it is because those networks are GSM which has a weaker signal by design, and thus has more trouble getting into buildings or traveling long distances. For GSM customers, you must be close to a tower to receive truely good reception. CDMA is what Sprint (but not Nextel - IDEN Network), Verizon, and Qwest (Uses Sprint's network) use for their networks.

Always seem to get good reception here. There's a spot closer to the Nokomis Coffee Shop where I ALWAYS drop calls, but it's just a few block there. Sometimes I'll have full bars and the phone just won't ring when a call comes through, but that only happens about once a month.

Absolutely horrible reception where I live. I just moved 9 months ago only three miles from my previous location and my reception has turned into crap. It was decent three miles away, but now I have to sit at the end of my bed, upstairs to even receive a phone call and talk. Anywhere else in the house shows no bars at all. And even when I'm outside, the reception is horrible. Have been with Sprint for 8 years and am cancelling when my contract is up.

It is ok. Get coverage everywhere, but when jumping from tower to tower when phone is not in use, it has many dead spots. Push to talk feature sucks. NE Mpls doesn't have the best coverage, but downtown is great. Don't expect to have service in any large building (Target, Cub, Walmart, Menards, etc.)

There has always been a 1 / 2 mile oval in Edina MN with little or no 1900mhz service so Sprint, Verizon, etc don't work. 800mhz T-Mobile works but doesn't have data / pict features. Even analog is poor or non-existant. Right in an area of 100's of multi-million $ homes in middle of highly served metro area. WHY??

Sprint does not have good service in Northeast Minneapolis. Sitting at my desk, my phone would go from 2 bars to suddenly dropped call all the time. Then when I call back a second time, I can be on the phone without it dropping again. More recently, I've found that sitting at the same place, that my phone can't even make an outgoing call as it could before. It will read "dialing" and finally just quit.

Consistently poor reception for the first year and a half of my 2 year contract. I even tried to upgrade to a very expensive phone but Sprint's ridiculous policy and piss-poor business sense made it so it's actually more worthwhile for me to just suffer through my contract until it expires, and go with someone else, even if their reception isn't much better, just to spite Sprint. This would be like if I brought my 10-year old vehicle into a car dealer, wanting to buy a 2006 model, and they blew me off and sent me out the door!

Intermittant to really bad coverage. As my contract has recently expired Sprint's position is that my phone should be replaced to correct the issue. This is an interesting position to take as they have acknowledged that there are recognized reception issues in this area. They remain very insistent that I must purchase a new phone to correct the problem. When informed that my girlfriend's phone which is only a couple of months old, has also little to no reception they literally had nothing to say. After prompting for a response of any kind - the cs representative hung up the phone. This has become increasingly more difficult over time. This is obviously an issue for many as there are very few cellular towers in the western 1st tier suburbs and very few in SLP. Hope everyone else has better luck - I might be getting a land-line.

I usually get a resonable number of bars in my house, but the quality of the calls is still poor and there are freqent problems with dropped calls and poor signals. My wifes phone seems to have even more problems than mine with call dropping and reception in our house. It seems to me that we had few complaints a year or two ago, but perhaps the traffic on the towers has overwhelmed them?

The reception inside my house is practically zero. I have to stand near a window to get service. This may be due to the extra sound insulation in the neighborhood on the houses with MAC improvements? My brother has T-Mobile and gets service even in our basement! Unfortuanatly we still have 2 years on our service contract for 2 phones in a family plan and I can't seem to figure out how to get out of it.

Sprint has excellent reception where I live in St. Louis Park, and all the way up to Coon Rapids where I work. I travel heavily with my handset, and am impressed with coverage and the "America" plan where roaming is included. Not even Verizon's nationwide plan is as complete. I do suggest Sprint customers that have a poor signal look at the handset they have. There are major differences as I have found out. Also, Sprint customers can take their handsets into a Sprint PCS store and receive a FREE tower list update to keep your phone current. This update increased the signal strength on my old handset by 100 times!

The following comment based on use in a single story office building: It is a VERY frequent problem where someone calls me, the call rolls into voice mail, and several minutes later my phone beeps to let me know I've received a voicemail message. Near windows, signal strength is 0 to 1 bars (with periods of no signal). In interior areas and conference rooms, I can get one bar if I extend the antenae and position the phone "just right". Co-workers with AT&T get good signal throughout the building.

I've been with Sprint for many years. I had very spotty service with other phones, so I really think people need to look at the phone if you are having troubles. My Sanyo SCP-4900 was flawless everywhere with Sprint. The problem is that Sprint Customer Service has been terrible for me. I needed more minutes as well. I now have switched to T-Mobile and I'm using the Nokia 6600 which I am finding to be fair to poor in many areas. I thought that Nokia phones were suppose to have excellent reception... but this one doesn't. Perhaps it's T-Mobile's fault.
