Have great reception indoors and out. Don't have any problems until I try to make a change to the existing contract, but what company dose not? Try going to Eden Prairie store by the mall in the daytime, not afternoon. There are no perfect phone company's so don't expect perfect service.

I always get great reception. I've been with T-Mobile for three years and I've only had a few minor problems. I suspect it has more to do with my phone than T-Mobile, but I have no way of knowing since I've never used another carrier. I have a buddy who lives across the street who's with AT&T, and his reception is great too. He also owns a Razr. Most of our other neighbors complain constantly about the "lousy" coverage in our neighborhood. The people across the street just switched from AT&T to Verizon and their reception still sucks. I'm pretty sure the phone makes the biggest difference.

Cingular in this area is terrible. Since they made the switch it's been wretched. I am fortunate to get 1 bar in my own house. Certainly nothing in the basement. If I go stand out in the street I will get a max. of 3 bars. Very disgruntling. Customer service with Cingular is also very frustrating. DON'T USE AT&T!

Love my iPhone -- hate the service. AT&T is unbelievably bad here in Linden Hills. I drop calls every five minutes, even when I am standing outside not moving, and away from any trees or overhangs. Lord help me if I am talking to another AT&T customer, as I have had as many as seven drops in five minutes with a friend who also has AT&T. Here is the thing. I am supposedly in AT&Ts best coverage area. Not their better coverage area, or their good coverage area, but their best coverage area. I can only wonder what those other coverage areas would be like. I suggest that if you live around here, you look to another provider.

Sprint has worked very well for me in the Twin Cities over the past five years. The coverage is equal to or better than Verizon much of the time, but cheaper for more minutes. People complaining with T-Mobile and ATT: it is because those networks are GSM which has a weaker signal by design, and thus has more trouble getting into buildings or traveling long distances. For GSM customers, you must be close to a tower to receive truely good reception. CDMA is what Sprint (but not Nextel - IDEN Network), Verizon, and Qwest (Uses Sprint's network) use for their networks.

In this area we now have three new T-Mobile sites, one at 106th and James circle in a siren tower, Normandale and OSR at a power company substation and a new one under contruction at aprox. 98 and France in a church bell tower. Coverage in this area has improved dramatically.

love love love tmobile. Almost always great reception. I have had many different phones on the T-Mobile network (4 I think). 2 samsungs, a Nokia and now the iphone. They all have worked great. I get great reception in my house (north Mnpls) and all over downtown minneapolis and inside the buildings. I also have a Sprint phone and I HARDLY if even get reception in my house. I love the ease of swapping SIM cards into whatever phone I feel like with Tmobile. Tmobile forever baby!

I use to be with Qwest and always had good reception - but since I got my iphone Im stunned by the number of dropped calls I have with the ATT network - every day, several times a day calls get dropped - I never had this problem with other phones in the past. I'm not sure if it is partly the fault of the iphone but I have a friend who also have an iphone and he experiences the same thing. I live in Summit HOuse Condos which is all concrete and a high-rise and reception in the house it not good at all - better outside for sure - but even then - the dropped calls drive me nuts. But I love the phone too much to part with it right now.

What kind of joke is it that only half a mile from downtown that I can barely get a signal and that I often drop calls driving down the street? In my building it's practically a dead zone!
