AT&T Wireless (TDMA)
I will have reasonably good reception from Minneapolis. When I get to 85th Ave. on Hwy 252 my call is dropped every time. My reception in my house is very poor.

Reception is okay here except in basements. Typically pull around 3-4 bars at the ground level both indoors and outdoors. This service was formerly AT&T GSM.

Absolutely awful. I had it for a day, returned it due to terrible reception and received bills for different amounts for four months. They tried charging the activation fee twice and then waived it on the third time and then showed a balance of 36 cents on the next and a credit on the last one although nothing was ever paid.

No, no, no. Very poor call quality. A lot of missed and dropped calls due to minimal reception.

So far the best one I've had. Everyone I've talked to since I've had them for a year has commented on the difference in my calls since I left AT&T.

I consistently have perfect reception all over Uptown and throughout most of downtown.

Sprint has excellent reception where I live in St. Louis Park, and all the way up to Coon Rapids where I work. I travel heavily with my handset, and am impressed with coverage and the "America" plan where roaming is included. Not even Verizon's nationwide plan is as complete. I do suggest Sprint customers that have a poor signal look at the handset they have. There are major differences as I have found out. Also, Sprint customers can take their handsets into a Sprint PCS store and receive a FREE tower list update to keep your phone current. This update increased the signal strength on my old handset by 100 times!

Spotty reception in northern Brooklyn Park. Otherwise have had good luck with T-Mobile's customer service.

The following comment based on use in a single story office building: It is a VERY frequent problem where someone calls me, the call rolls into voice mail, and several minutes later my phone beeps to let me know I've received a voicemail message. Near windows, signal strength is 0 to 1 bars (with periods of no signal). In interior areas and conference rooms, I can get one bar if I extend the antenae and position the phone "just right". Co-workers with AT&T get good signal throughout the building.
