I have 1xRTT data all over campus except on some occasions like in the science building, but roaming is part of my contract, so I roam on Verizon's data network, so I really always have 1xRTT data, which allows me to check up on little things when I'm not at a computer. Voice quality is great, voice coverage is great. I almost always have more than three bars anywhere I go. I moved from AT&T where my phone would be 2 feet from the window and have no signal at all. I had to set it on the windowsill to get 2 bars. I'm very happy with Sprint so far, and when I go home, the 3G (EvDO Rev.A) connection is super fast. --- I believe the poor reception of T-Mobile and AT&T on campus is due to their being on the GSM frequencies, whereas Verizon and Sprint are on CDMA. I'm guessing that GSM frequencies just can't penetrate the buildings like the CDMA frequencies can. Check out Wikipedia for more information. ---
