One or No Bars in my home. Have to stand on my deck to talk on the phone. I travel all of Southern MN from the WI border to Sioux Falls and I have average coverage at best. I also travel Southwestern Wisconsin, and other than La Crosse proper, I have NO coverage at all. ATT has THE WORST customer service of any cell service I have ever had. They absolutely know about their bad coverage in the area, and the best they will offer is to sell you an additional $150 piece of hardware to boost your home coverage. I am cancelling my service. Was this review helpful to you?
Never had a dropped call in the 13 months that I've been using Sprint. Occasionally, my reception is a bit muddled, but that seems to be only on calls to a couple of specific people, so I suspect the problem is on their end, not mine. Was this review helpful to you?
I live at the top of hill with minimally-obstructed views to the south. Using my iPhone 5 on AT&T, I receive only about 50% of incoming calls and even then have to walk around my house to find a spot where the caller can understand me. It was slightly better with the iPhone 4; but it's not the phone. In actual metropolitan areas, I get spectacular reception and audio quality. Just below the hill, basically between my house and Bamber Valley School along Salem Road, I get 100% dropped calls. I've literally never had a call that stayed connected rounding that curve on Salem Road. I've been in the house for 7 years with AT&T. Coverage has always been poor; but it's getting worse. in any case, ATT not recommended. Was this review helpful to you?
Starting in March rreception at my house has dropped off a lot! Before this spring I had no complaints. Now my signal fluctuates constantly. Very unhappy with Verizon and their "best network". I have had them at my house checking signals and they said it was fine. We four phones all dropping calls often. No explanation at all to why.Was this review helpful to you?
55th street nw has difficult reception. have had a technician out to my home twice, switched to a different PRL (preffered roaming list) however it did not fix the problem. considering switching to a different carrier, however sprint, AT&T and t have all had problems as well. phone used to work great as midwest wireless and all-tell... however Verizon phone does not work as well ? go figure ?Was this review helpful to you?
Very few problems anywhere in town even in stores, basements, etc. going north south or west seems to stay great, and major roads to the east are fine, but if you get off the major roads you may start to have some problems, overall, far better than att(on Iphone 3G) verizon(may have changed recently, three years ago on Samsung A950) and tmobile(shares AT&T towers), don't know about alltell though... BTW: I wish AT&T had better coverage, Iphone is awesome but had so manny dead spots I had to return it...Was this review helpful to you?
No reception in our house, and minimal reception in our driveway. Very disappointed in AT&T. A new cell tower recently went up at intersection of 60th Av SW and 20th St. and I'm trying to find out the carrier so I can switch to them. Township says it's Sprint, but Sprint phones get no better reception in our house than AT&T. Frustrating... ..Was this review helpful to you?
I just moved to Rochester, Minnesota and signed up with U.S. Cellular (my friend in Wisconsin recommended them). I've had nothing but full signal strength, zero dropped calls, and great call quality. U.S. Cellular has a huge presence in Wisconsin and I'm pretty sure they roam off Verizon's towers in other areas. I've not ventured very far outside the city yet, but I'm extremely pleased with them thus far!Was this review helpful to you?
I have Verizon Wireless and I have NEVER dropped a call, or had no bars. I have intentionally tried to loose bars but I cant. I get clear digital service everywhere in Rochester and surrounding areas and my mother gets the same and is a property inspector that inspects properties all over southern Minnesota. If Verizon doesn't have a tower there, the phone will use a Midwest Wireless tower and Midwest gets coverage almost EVERYWHERE! Too bad their plans, services, and customer care SUCK! So basically, Verizon is the best route to go. Plus, Verizon has the "Test Drive" feature that allows you to test out a Verizon phone for 30 days and if you don't like it, return it without any charge for the phone calls you made! Just return it, no questions asked. Pretty cool huh? give it a try.Was this review helpful to you?
I wanted to give Cingular / AT&T a 1 for Poor but I figured that would be too harsh. I currently commute from Rochester to Austin to work and drop calls constantly on the way to and from work, throughout Austin, and in many spots in Rochester. For a company that boasts the fewest calls dropped nationwide they sure aren't doing a very good job. On top of that they typically over-bill me. I'm switching companies soon... not sure where I'll go. It seems as though cell phone carriers are getting worse as time goes on and not improving much if any at all.Was this review helpful to you?
