Really Midwest Wireless, which is the same type of phone that Verizon uses(CDMA) And if a Verizon customer is in St. Charles it uses Midwest Wireless towers. Phone works perfect everywhere in town. CDMA phones signal meter isn't really accurate because it is measuring average signal from more than one tower, even though in some places signal may appear to be low calls can still be placed. If you need to rely on a phone in southeastern MN (and most other places) Midwest is the way to go

At home, only about a mile from the tower it only gets about 2-3 bars, if I go into the basement it gets about 1, and sometimes switches to the T-Mobile tower (which must be on the 850 mhz because that tower is about 4 miles away in Dover). In town works OK outside, but go into almost any building (Jimmy's pizza, video store, Mikes) it goes to 0 bars. They need to change the AT&T tower to a 850 mhz radio. The Midwest wireless phone works everywhere, even in the basement of the Legion
