Can't make or receive calls in my house. Sometimes works in yard. I get a more reliable data signal. Used to have T-Mobile which worked great here.

Very spotty coverage. I lose calls inside home. My phone will not ring frequently. I recover or discover I have messages that I know I could of just answered if my phone would just ring. It is not in my settings, I've checked numerous times. I hate this service carrier, however I am not sure I could trust another. I think it is just a reality of cell phone coverage in this area by all carriers.

North Oaks, Saint Paul, MN 55127 Sun Dec 13, 2009

Sprint works very well in the private community of North Oaks. They have the closest tower of all cel phone companies, just on the north side. I had Verizon and it was always hit and miss. Sprint is a must in North Oaks.

I've lived in MSP for about 10 years, and had Sprint the whole time, and I only know one spot where my call gets dropped and it's on the U of M campus near a giant magnet, which I think is the reason why and the hole is only for about a block, other than that, I've had AMAZING coverage all over the city / country, and I'm quite the traveler, and I've always had great service and coverage from Sprint. I'm tempted by the iphone, but stay with Sprint because I know they have great coverage here, and along all the highways around here.

St. Paul Ave. / Worcester, Saint Paul, MN 55116 Tue Sep 04, 2007

Reception has been great all over the rest of the Twin Cities, with the exception of inside my house. There seems to be a dead zone on Saint Paul Ave between Edgecumbe and Montreal. I get 1 bar at best when inside my house and have to walk out into my driveway or front yard to make a phone call. If I attempt to make calls inside, they will drop within 2 minutes. On occasion, I get hooked up to a digital roaming network and can make calls with 4 bars of service. Unfortunately, as soon as the phone gets a whisper of the Sprint network, it reconnects to it and I'm back to 1 bar at best.

U of MN, St. Paul Campus, Saint Paul, MN 55108 Sat Nov 04, 2006

Virtually no reception on the hill area of the U of MN St. Paul campus (near the water tower). There seems to be a dead zone that extends from the Borlaug Hall / Ecology Building west to Cleveland Ave extending north to Roselawn. I've used three different model phones all with Sprint service, and all three lose signal in this area. Bad for U of MN students!

I just recently signed back with Sprint after believing I had an equipment problem at my house. The new phone isn't any better. I actually have to switch to Digital Roaming while in my house to get a phone call, which is ridiculous. Also, sprints customer service has gone incredibly down hill. 9 times out of 10 I'll get someone who speaks english as a second language (and not that well I might add). They really don't care about me or anyone else. They did do one thing for me, which was confirm I was living in a dead spot, but then ticked me off even more when they said there was nothing THEY could do about it and to live with it. I asked for my money back and they said they would waive the cancellation fee, but not give my money back for the phone... great... just lost $100 bucks on this piece of crap even though the store representative said, "oh no our reception is great in Apple Valley... "

35E / HWY 96, Saint Paul, MN 55110 Fri Mar 17, 2006

I work at the intersection of 35E and HWY96. I get at most 1 bar inside the building and often have no service at all. Same results around Bald Eagle Lake. My friend has same problem. I have had Cingular and Verizon as well in the past 4 months and they worked fine. Everyone else I work with that doesn't have a Sprint phone has no problems in our building. Sprint's customer service told me that "we probably just don't have a strong signal in that area." I was a day late on the 14 day return period and they refused to help me. "Our contract specifically states that we do not guarantee reception inside of buildings" was all they would say. They said they should be getting another tower around there in the next 3-4 years. Also on numerous occasions I have found that I have over a dozen new voicemails that it never bothered to inform me of.

Best Reception I've ever had with anyphone.. I dont know why people complain their Sprint Phones dont work in the City but this is without a doubt the best carrier to have. I calls sound much clearer I have not had a single drop call that was Sprints fault in about 6 months the phone even works in the basemen and my house was built in 1960 so you would expect it to not work very well but it does.. My sister who has Cingular and gets very crappy service. She is soon porting her number to Sprint..

I've had Sprint PCS service for the past 6 months and get one bar or no reception in my house. I get great reception downtown, and if I go into my backyard I get fine reception, but the front yard and for several blocks south of the house I have no reception. There's also a dead spot on 35E just north of 694, and when trying to cross the river going to Minneapolis on Marshall. I really don't get service in a lot of places, and will probably change carriers.

Live nearby and cannot get a signal in my house 95% of the time. Sometimes in the driveway it works, or not. Even driving along Wilderness Run I can be roaming. Wondering if it's the phone(samsung) or Sprint. Various phone "upgrades" from Sprint haven't done anything to help.

At work (school) the reception is great. Likewise, as we get closer to downtown St. Paul. But in the neighborhood, fuggeddaboudit. Most of the time I will get one bar, though I have been cut off in mid-conversation before. It's not like we are in the boondocks: our house is about 3 mi. from downtown St. Paul and 5 from downtown Minneapolis. I will not renew unless coverage improves.
