With Sprint I constantly have all 6 bars! When i'm in my room I get 5 bars but outside even in doors at my work I get 5 to 6 bars. I love Sprint because I get all 6 bars almost everywhere I go. I have never seen my phone drop below 4 bars. I have had almost every service provider out there and none of them compare to Sprint in terms of reception. On top of that Motorola phones get the best reception out of "almost" any phone out there. Sprint might not have great customer service but they have excellent reception in my area more so then AT&T. My parents have T-Mobile with the RAZR 2 V8 and they have all 5 bars "everywhere" they go. I would say that T-Mobile and Sprint in my area have the best reception.

Dropping in to the Mississippi river valley in South St. Paul plunges my coverage to 1 or 0 bars and calls often drop.

I've had great luck with Sprint and this Samsung getting a signal and staying connected just about anyplace around the twin cities and on any major freeway or highway in Minnesota. Western Wisconsin is a different story. Going north out of New Richmond I get no carrier five miles north of town. Going west to Rapid City I had no coverage at all after Sioux Falls. Seems like doing a study of coverage maps before signing up is the key. Possibly the Samsung is just a good phone. It's old and beat up with few bells and whistles but provides great communications anyplace around the twin cities. I may switch to Verizon or T-Mobile to get better coverage in Western Wisconsin though. As for coverage in my apartment forget it. I'm in a basement apartment and the only way I can catch a signal is standing by a door or window. At work surrounded by a lot of electronic equipment I never loose a signal yet folks with other carriers see to drop off like flies. So a high five for Sprint. Verizon offers more minutes for the same price but I don't use all I get now anyway so if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
