I don't have much of problems with service in town, I get EDGE service everywhere in town (Rockin' 4-5 bars home). Contrary to the 2006 reviewer, those problems in between Mt. Vernon and Aurora don't seem to exist. In one specific spot it can still be a dead zone though, depending on how well your cellphone holds out on signal. Voice quality is decent most of the time, only on my brothers phone I've experienced poor quality. Data service is horrendous, my only real complaint. 3G is due soon though. Service in Barry county is poor, and right outside of town not so bad, I can usually hold onto a couple bars of signal fine.

sometimes if you are lucky you can get 2 bars of Edge then all of sudden you have nothing, then you might see 3G pop up for a few seconds then nothing. Its very frustrating! Are there new AT&T towers going up or not?

Got contract with Sprint in branson. Mo when I lived there because I told them I would be moving to Aurora in 5 months. I asked them how the service would be... they said next to perfect. Well needless to say it's next to nothing. My wife and I have both changed phones trying to correct the problem. My wife has never seen 3g coverage on her blackberry. I get 3g in my tin shop., must be the tin acts as antenna. Countless calls and visits to Sprint have got us no where. They finally removed the contact so I can cancel without fee.

On highway 39, aboiut halfway between Aurora and Mt. Vernon, MO. No coverage all all. Drops calls. NO signal.
