I had U.S cellular before and the reception and overall performance was satisfactory. I switched to Cingular for the pricing and rollover minutes. One and a half years into the 2 year contract now and I have never had a solid conversation on this phone. The reception is poor and conversations are broken. I have contacted Cingular twice and they just tell me I can upgrade my phone after May of 2006. They will not respond to the problem, so I guess they just don't care. I will go back to U.S cellular when this contract is up.

I have my Motorola v400 and since I got it, I have had more reception than I had ever had on any other phone, Almost every place I go gets 4 to 5 bar, it is a very uncommon thing for my bars to drop below 4, I went camping very far away from any civilization, as some people know it, it is called Lesterville, and you would not find a tower within 20 to 25 miles and on my relatives cell phone some get no service all the way up to 1 bars, I was really proud my cell got that great reception where others didnt.

I have been using Cingular GSM service for about five months and it is really good in most places, some dead spots but still good.
