I subscribed to AT&T about 1 year ago because I wanted the iPhone. I love the iPhone, but as I travel back to Oklahoma a lot to visit family and friends, I am less than impressed with the coverage with AT&T. I drop calls at least 4 times a day between KCMO and KCK on I35 and I670 and I70. I'm not impressed. I left U.S. Cellular in OKC when I moved up here and I loved them. They didn't have all the bells and whistles like amazing phone selection (although it was decent) but they spoiled me in literally having had 2 dropped calls in 4 years of coverage including rural OK areas. If U.S. Cellular were in KC I'd be back with them in a heart beat.
Have had this device for about 2 years. Have had little or no problems with reception. Have had no complaints anywhere in the Northland with it with ATT. I had a Sony prior and had reception problems and dropped calls in many locations with it.
I drive all over town and have nothing but great reception wherever I go. It is very rare for me to lose a call or have things go garbled. Two years ago I had T-mobile. It was terrible.
Signal was average up until july. Since then I'm lucky to get 2 bars. It is usualy 1 or none. This includes both mine and my wife's phone as well as three phones belonging to my neighbors. All are AT&T. Four are razors and one is a Motorola 557
I cannot make or recieve calls in about a 2 block radius from this location. I can, however, recieve and send text messages. ATT sent in a trouble call and they had someone check the service in the area. They called back and confirmed that the signal was weak but they have nom plans to do anything about it. I sure hope T-mobile, Sprint, Verizon or some other service has better coverage there.
Awful. Moved here, and my phone (which used to work great) gets one bar max. I can't get through one conversation without having the call dropped. Barry Rd? Don't get Cingular / ATT.
Although the Cingular map shows all of KC as great reception, I think the Verizon map is more accurate (but for Cingular!). It shows a drop in service at about 80th and Main, and that's where I get interference or dropped calls.
