Sprint has improved a lot since I last had their service. I recently switched from Verizon due to my bill being so high and decided to give Sprint another chance, especially since they have unlimited data and Verizon does not. The data speeds are so much faster than Verizon's. I'm able to hold a connection without frequent pauses and buffering. The only issue I have with Sprint is that sometimes when I'm on my phone in the house, the person on the other end cannot hear me. The only thing I miss about Verizon is its integrated messaging and the ability to suspend my service.

I get about three bars inside my home. Voice and messaging is great but my only issue is their 3G and LTE. LTE takes forever to load YouTube videos and my Spotify or Pandora radio. They're also the MOST expensive carrier and my bill has gone up twice since being with them.

I just switched to T Mobile from a cheap gas station phone. I use my phone for work and drive a lot. There are a lot of deadspots in kc. I got a flat and couldnt even call for help right off I70. You have to connect to wi fi to make calls a lot but cant because everyone locks their wi fi. So you are stuck in a major city with NO Service. I chose T Mobile because I was under the impression they were affordable with good coverage. When I had them 10 years ago I never had any problems and drove everywhere around the city. I have to keep money on my cheap gas station phone to use when my TMobile phone isnt getting service. I am going to switch soon. Only been with them a month this time.

The service and reception is outstanding. I have never dropped a call in the Kansas City area or any place we have traveled. I think the charges are too high but than I guess you get what you pay for. Very happy with Verizon

AT&T does an excellent job for us here in KC. Very rarely a dropped call. I know of no dead spots. This wasn't true a few years ago but they have improved their coverage. Note the date when reading these reviews. Any review over a year or two old is probably worthless. All the providers are constantly improving their service.

Rarely have 4G. My phone doesn't have service when my non-Sprint friend's phones do. Don't even think about using your Sprint phone at a Chiefs game. Phone calls are fine in the city but don't expect to have coverage approximately half the time on a road trip to CO, or 75% of the time in Pensacola, FL area. Small-town Louisiana? Don't bother bringing your phone unless using it as a paperweight for your telegraph messages - because that's the only way you're communicating down there.

TERRIBLE! I have been having issues with Sprint for the last year. Countless calls to customer service and visits to stores without any resolution to my issue. I get NO coverage at my home or neighborhood. I had to connect to my wifi to download an app to even make calls and texts. I pay my bill every month but they give me no service where I use my phone the most. I shouldn't have to pay them if my internet provider is the one actually making my phone usable at home. (Thanks to Wifi) Sprint also changed their contract... I believe that is terms for termination without paying the fee. I wouldn't recommend this provider to anyone. The worst customer service and coverage. Also last year a Sprint employee open a line for themselves on my husbands bill when he went in to upgrade! Took 6 months to get that issue resolved!

On the iPhone 6. Consistently one bar at home. Data switches from LTE to 3G (drains batteries) back and forth but mostly stays on 3G. I wouldn't complain if the 3G was usable but it isn't. Takes minutes to send iMessages; forget about sending pictures / videos. Streaming is choppy to non-existent. Tried contacting Sprint but they haven't done anything about the reception nor did they do anything about the bill. Extremely unsatisfied with the customer service and the reception of Sprint. I'm surprised that they are a major corporation... they sure don't know how to operate like one.

Verizon service is good, monthly bill is HIGH. TOO HIGH! May try another carrier just to save money. Been with Verizon for about nine years.

I get pretty good reception even inside the house which I never got with Sprint. I am retired from AT&T and was considering switching because I can get a major discount but I would rather pay more to get better service and from the reviews, that isn't possible with AT&T at least in this area.

T-Mobile customer since 2005. Was very satisfied at first but about 3yrs ago service started dropping off at home and around the area, where as before it was primarily one area down by southern Mo., now more so all over but they will not adjust my bill every month for terrible service, but we have tried all there recommendations but it still hasn't worked and tech support but was told they were updating there towers for 3yrs now without a reprieve on my bill.

Almost zero Sprint voice reception in my house. Calls take forever to connect and always drop, even on the second story of the house.

Overall customer service sucks. You pay an arm and a leg to get crappy service. The reception wasn't that great to begin with. Ever since they upgraded to the 4GLTE the reception is worse. There main excuse are the towers. I get very little Internet service with the MIFI device. I'll be switching service soon.

Great reception from sites in the Brookside area. Verizon is the best carrier, by far, in the KC area for coverage. I've been a customer for >12 years and with only a couple areas where I drop calls I have no complaints.

Up until about a month ago, Nov 2013, I had 1 bar on both my smart phone and my home wireless unit that I switched to from my land line. Now the home unit shows no reception and is red all the time and my smart phone shows no bars but occasionally show 1 bar. There is a Sprint tower 1 mile from my house, this is ridiculous.

I will summarize this for everyone. You will get better service with prepaid phones. Expect at least 20-25 dropped calls everyday and everywhere. Lte data is not accurate on the map and appear non existent. The data you get will be the slowest of any carrier. Now if you fall for the inlimited data trick then you got what you deserve. I pay less with our family now on AT&T sharing 10 gigs of data than when we were with Sprint. They need to file bankruptcy and give us all a piece of mind.
