Verizon has awesome service in Nixa! 4G LTE is running now in Springfield and surrounding areas, has been for the last couple months. I have no problems at all. No dropped calls, reception issues, nothing! My download and upload speeds on 4G LTE are faster than most home high speed connections. I average SpeedTest results of 22-30 mbps download, and 17-24 mbps upload. Those speeds are incredible! I can honestly say that no other carrier in the Nixa, Springfield and surrounding areas can even come close to the service and speeds Verizon provides. I am extremely happy with my Verizon phone and service, totally top notch!

I've been with AT&T since 2005 (since my first cell phone). I've had three different phones. During this time I have never had a single dropped call. Since March 2009 we have had two iPhone's on the plan. Perfect service. Only a few calls to customer service and they were impeccable. I do think that we are paying too much money for the plan, but tried a cheaper (Virgin Mobile / Sprint) provider last year and couldn't even get a connection to view checking account balance in a wide open Wal-Mart parking lot. No internet service anywhere if not on Wi-Fi. I guess you get what you pay for. Head's up - people complaining about AT&T stores - there are "Corporate" stores and "Franchise" stores. Ask when you go in which they are. A Franchise store can't do anything except sell you a phone. A Corporate store can do pretty much everything. I went into a franchise store up the road and they can't even take a payment. Also, franchise stores will charge you more erroneous fees than corporate stores will. When I moved to MO, a franchise store wanted to charge me $50 to move my service. I went 1 / 2-mile up the road to a Corporate store and moved my service / phone number at no charge.

T-mobile Ughhhhhhhh! I use to get great reception (although it usually received signal from cingular) but the last ice storms and then again after tornadoes the reception has never been the same. Walking from one side of the room to the other can lead to a dropped call. I have had T-Mobile for many years with no problems the phone roamed, but with free roaming this was not a problem. Until recently. My phone no longer roams like it did previously to pick up the best signal? I haven't changed the settings but the phone now is only on T-Mobile which again is spotty at best. My husband and daughters phones share this problem. Anybody else here in the middle of the known universe Nixa having the same problems?

Verizon is new to the area and I must say that so far it has had great coverage around Nixa. They even just launched EV-DO coverage in Springfield area that goes as far south as into southern Christian County and spotty areas around Branson but not in Branson yet. Bars do tend to fluncuate but never loose a signal. Call quality is great however in Sprinfield around Wal-Mart there is some sort of interference there because I hear echos..and even with AT&T the calls drop in that area. By far Verizon has done well for me even better than AT&T and T-Mobile

Alltel's reception is awful here. This is bad for us since we don't have a home phone. I don't understand it because Alltel is pretty good in most every other area!

T-Mobile has no reception in the Fremont Hills area per my T-Mobile SDA. It roams onto Cingular's towers. I get between no bars and 2 bars in this area on Cingular. I loose connection coming from 160 east on CC as I approach Fremont Hills. When I get close to the entry gate at Fremont Hills, the phone switches to Cingular's network and stays on it until I get half a mile North on 65 past the James River / 160 interchange. The roaming from T-Mobile to Cingular seems transparent on a call. When not on a call, my phone beeps at me every day while I drive to work and am passing Fremont Hills.

Samsung T809 and T-Mobile SDA: Great reception in Nixa Missouri. So far no problems. Phones sound as good as the land line, except for normal delay / lag common in all cell phones.
