I may show 5 bars but once I want to make a call it drops to 1 or zero. Same thing with data usage. It's like the phone shows alot of bars just to make you feel okay about the service but once you try to use it the bars drop... annoying.

I often only get 2 or less bars in my home. The crazy thing is that my Kindle will get full bars. Now both will get 3G. Not happy at all. Plus my phone batter wont hold a charge.

ATT service is the ONLY service in St. Louis that one can get service while in a hospital or rural area. Ive been all over Missouri, ATT was there, 2g or 3g... . My 3GS did get better reception than my Iphone 4 does though...

Reception Bars are no more than 2 in any point in the house. Several rooms and the basement get no signal. Most calls have to be taken on the back deck in order to have confidence that the call will not be dropped.

Typically one bar with phone by the window... in the middle of the house the calls eventually drop (everytime)

I get 0-1 bar in the house and outside it with many dropped calls all over St. Louis / St. Charles area

Cingular supposedly took over my ATT wireless service. Messages are not forwarded for several days and many calls are dropped. They are now disgusting. Is this because ATT is the step-child? Also SBCglobal service is much poorer since acquired by Cingular. What is going on?

Drops calls every time on Hackmann, North of jungermann. Otherwise good reception locally, not so good off the beaten path.

Heritage subdivision has very spotty reception with any carrier, but with Cingular I can usually get 3 bars inside my house. Reception outside the subdivision is very good.

you get ok reception and good service it should do.
