We just moved here and we are missing calls and texts. It isn't until I leave for work that I get calls and texts from the night before. As we don't have a home phone, this is not only frustrating but unsafe.

Verizons coverage in st. Louis county is poor to say the least. For the company with the self proclaimed greatest coverage they are by far the worst carrier I've had. If you live in the greater st. Louis area AT&T is miles ahead if Verizon in signal strength, speed, and call quality!

LTE is two circles. 4 G is two circles. Data on either is slow. The map all around us shows good coverage. I happen to be in a pocket that shows less that good coverage. A tower is close. I I drive a block away in any direction I get full LTE.

Since Sprint LTE / 4G service does not exist and their 3G sucks I found a device called Wilson Electronics (Cradle Booster) it does help with Sprints almost non-existant service. I would highly suggest looking at AT&T or Verizon before ever thinking about Sprint. If your service sucks I would also highlyt suggest contacting the FCC and the BBB. They both have simple online complaint forms. I chose false advertisement since Sprint misled me stating that I would receive LTE / 4G service and I did not. Sprint better get their crap together!

Before September 2014 the call reception was good. The data speeds were reliable though slow at times for 4g. After September 2014 something changed. The call reception became very bad, almost unable to use the phone as a phone. The data connection comes and goes. Sometimes there isn't any signal at all. Phone sometimes reads "E" or "G". While that is better than nothing at all, I signed up for and am paying for a 4g connection. I called customer service and technical support. They were nice and tried to be helpful however the problem continues. When I travel to other areas of St. Louis County my phone works perfectly with call reception and data speeds.

Only have 2 bars at work in Clayton - Meramec and Maryland, 2 bars at home, 2 bars in Kirkwood near Geyer and Manchester. Terrible signals - impossible to download any apps while at any of these locations.

Verizon

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Jamieson Ave. | Hampton Ave., Saint Louis, MO 63109 |

Voice reliability and quality are both good. Data is hit or miss, as it varies between 1X, 3G, and LTE in my house. I've also found many pockets of 3G and 1X around the 63109 zip code. LTE, when signal is available, is very fast. 3G and 1X are are unusable for anything that isn't mostly text-based. LTE coverage in most other areas of the city is excellent. Still, with what Verizon charges, there isn't much of an excuse for the LTE gaps in certain areas.

Inside the Building, I get 2-3 Bars on 3g... but sometimes my phone goes to 1x mode... and data is nearly impossible.
