My phone is DEAD in the whole area. I cannot place a call at all. When I asked the Cingularr guy about it, he said there are a lot of dead spots in South City.
Only 1 bar of digital roaming indoors in my first floor apartment of a two floor unit. 1 bar of normal service outside, but you can't talk for more than 5 minutes or so without having your call dropped. Even digital roaming only gets 1 to 2 bars outside and frequently drops. This makes me think other carriers will not improve the situation. A service ticket has been submitted, but based on the experience of other posts, I'm not expecting a happy resolution of the problem. Sprint gets an F.
I get a great signal wherever I go in st. louis. Having used both Sprint and Cingular in a lot of the same locations My v551 phone works much better in more locations than Sprint ever did. Also my battery lasts a whole lot longer {some thing to consider if you are the type that talks a lot and forgets to plug in their phone at night}
verizon, good reception-but it should be for a monopoly. is there any service you can get and the company isn't just an evil-dooer with a decider for a ceo?
