Absolutely no reception anywhere on South Campus, except for one or two spots on the front lawn where 2 bars can get obtained. The most frustrating thing of all is that the phone reports full service until I actually dial, then the bars drop to 1 or none, leaving me with a one-way or choppy connection when the person answers.
I have gotten consistently good service from T-Mobile and this phone. I occasionally run into some dead spots, but if I lean the other way, I get my service back. All in all, a great phone and carrier!
Signal is consistantly good at my house, and pretty much all over St. Louis. The only place I have problems is in my interior office building at UMSL. Even outside coverage is not great on UMSL campus. But, overall, I'm very happy with Cingular reception and plans.
i have had Cingular and Verizon wireless but nothing compares to us cellular. with Verizon I would have to walk around my house to find a signal and with Cingular I had 1 bar but most of the time it was not even there. us cellular has the strongest network in and around saint louis. keep up the outstanding work and can not wait till nationwide coverage come's out for the incoming calls and night and weekends.
I live adjacent to Monsanto's World HQ and according to Cingular, there are 3 towers within a couple of miles, but regardless, although I am near a window on the second story of my house, at best I only get 1 and sometimes 2 bars. When I had Sprint, I had 4 bars as a minimum. So much for effective blanket coverage of a major area.
i'm on a 1st floor of a condo unit on west pine i've always had a crystal clear signal with Cingular, 4-5 bars it probably helps that my condo is not made out of a brick, its mostly windows / wood / siding
Recently upgraded to a Razr and reception improved considerably. Dead spots in my home and dead areas on my drive home (afternoon: Olive-Spoede-Conway) disappeared. Very pleased with phone and service. Remember, these are not land phones.
