Coverage in the city of Springfield is pretty good, but once you get outside the city limits, it's poor. Saving money by switching to T-Mobile is tempting, but don't do it. I went right back to AT&T and am very happy. Also, there is a big disconnect between what they tell you in the store and what customer service tells you. Trust me, stay away! Was this review helpful to you?
Awful coverage recently. Used to be good, but they must have changed a tower or something. Was this review helpful to you?
Very seldom get 4lte anywhere and if I'm in a place of business I can forget getting much of a signal at all. Only way I can get much done is when connected to wifi. Leaving Sprint as I write this review. Was this review helpful to you?
Having a condo in Florida, I found I enjoy driving mostly. I can tell from my experience. I only lose coverage around the Arkansas state line, a 14 mile area. Not bad for a 1200 mile trip. Working around truck drivers all day, they will tell you the same. Most people don't use their heads when buying a phone. A lot of people think they most have these big screen fancy phones which is lacking for picking up a tower. If you really think about it the free phone that comes with the service plan is the best one for getting better service. Since phone companies don't want a phone that won't pick up a tower correctly. They will give you the best one for their service to keep the account... ... ..Was this review helpful to you?

There are MANY consistent dead zones inside the city of Springfield. Traveling out toward Lebanon on I-44 there are several dead zones; same thing traveling toward Joplin on I-44; traveling to Buffalo down US65 or Bolivar on MO13 again, several regular dead zones. Heading down 60 toward Seymour / Hartville several regular dead zones. Don't even think about heading toward Ava, Gainesville, Theodosia if you want to use your phone at all. The "good" thing is that you learn quickly where you can't use T-Mobile because it is the same places all the time. The strangest part is on I44, MO13, and US65 it is when you get close to a cell tower that the signal drops. It almost feels like, in those cases maybe it's a phone issue but I honestly have not been able to investigate with a different phone, just my Nokia (don't laugh I buy cheap phones and go no-contract on purpose lol :-) ). To be fair I doubt any carrier has great coverage south of 60., but I am not satisfied with the coverage in Springfield Metro at all and I can't think of a good excuse for that. I wasn't thrilled with Sprint's metro coverage either. AT&T was good but we'd had a falling out over my package being "discontinued and no longer available" so I left them (that was probably 6 years ago). I still have Verizon and US Cellular to try so hooray! Was this review helpful to you?
Have had Verizon for years without much issue. Bolivar, Willard and all around MO. Just moved to the Dollar General area of W. Kearney. Have next to no coverage in my home even with the extender they sent me.Was this review helpful to you?
Talk about a hidden Gem! I knew little of US Cellular but referred by a co-worker who always seemed to have coverage where I didn't (AT&T). We're in the service industry and literally travel to every area of SW Mo. Unbelievable! Was just in HURLY and had 4 bars AND 4G! I've never had a glimpse of service there with anyone! Sparta, Reeds Spring, Fordland, So of Nixa - all areas I couldn't get coverage with AT&T are AWESOME with US Cellular. Plus, lower rates and great people! No more waiting in line! Highly recommend! Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint service is extremely inconsistent in the Springfield, MO area. If you spend any time at all in the South East shopping district (Battfield Mall down to Home Depot), expect no data service whatsoever. This is unexceptable, and I will never do business with Sprint again. Was this review helpful to you?
Switched to T-Mobile from Verizon and couldn't be happier. We have great LTE coverage all over town, other than inside buildings occasionally (more a GSM than T-Mobile problem though). Inside our house our coverage drops a little bit, but with wifi calling it doesn't matter anyways. Faster LTE than we had with Verizon. Super impressed. Give them a shot! Was this review helpful to you?
