Service is excellent here in Springfield. I have never experienced a drop call and the voice quality is good to excellent. Data service on 3G is the best in the area, as of now writing this no 4G networks here yet. I push 3-5 mbits, and have topped out at 6 mbits. 3 is the limit on Verizon.

almost every conversation has multiple dropped calls. everyone I call complains about a very loud buzzing noise on the line. phone shows 1 bar, sometimes 2 inside my house. my husbands blackberry has 2 or 3 bars, but no buzzing complaints. AT&T has crappy service

I cannot make a call from inside my home.I have to go outside.2 bars in the house and when I try to call out it drops to 1 bar.I was told 2 towers were out in my area (near the mall). Also was told nothing they could do about it and would not blame me for switching companys.AT&T has really gone downhill in the last year.I have at least 4-5 dropped calls a week, but the last 2 weeks have been hell.I would switch to Verizon.

Very poor customer service experience at the ATT Battlefield and Lone Pine store. Clerks act with indifference.

AT&T offers few problems with their service. Their customer service however is horrible. I have a problem with my Razor. I visited both AT&T stores on Kansas Expressway. I was given the number to file an insurance claim and shuffled out the door. No offer of upgrade or apology. The first guy gave me the number, turned around and walked away. I'm now looking into switching providers.

I have to say that my AT&T experience has made me understand who the wireless industry has the worst customer ratings of any other industry. I frequently get dropped calls with AT&T, variable signal strength at a given location is also common. Even more fun is when you look down and your phone shows missed calls even though you know your phone never rang. I've a friend who reports that his experience improved dramatically after switching to T-Mobile, and since my current plan commitments are met, I plan on giving them (T-Mobile) a shot. Will report back on that in a year or so. In the meantime, "Ma Bell, you ain't what you used to be."

Always good connection all over town, even in the elevator, which was not possible with same carrier and an older Motorola phone before (So at least some of the reception is the phone). I changed over from Sprint when I moved to Springfield about 4 years ago. Sprint had terrible coverage. I got a $500 phone bill from Sprint when I first moved here from all the roaming charges and I never left town. I will never use Sprint again. I am really happy with Cingular / AT&T.
