While voice reception is decent, 3G service is a joke and 4G only work near Drury. The reason is their main tower behind the mall has been down fore months, but they won't tell customers that. What you get is paying for a data plan that you aren't able to use... not to mention that $10 premium data add on.

Sprint claims to have amazing coverage here, but it is simply not true. I have three Sprint Phones and none of them receive coverage here. This is true for the surrounding blocks as well. Interior vs. exterior does not make a difference.

I cannot make a call from inside my home.I have to go outside.2 bars in the house and when I try to call out it drops to 1 bar.I was told 2 towers were out in my area (near the mall). Also was told nothing they could do about it and would not blame me for switching companys.AT&T has really gone downhill in the last year.I have at least 4-5 dropped calls a week, but the last 2 weeks have been hell.I would switch to Verizon.

I have to say that my AT&T experience has made me understand who the wireless industry has the worst customer ratings of any other industry. I frequently get dropped calls with AT&T, variable signal strength at a given location is also common. Even more fun is when you look down and your phone shows missed calls even though you know your phone never rang. I've a friend who reports that his experience improved dramatically after switching to T-Mobile, and since my current plan commitments are met, I plan on giving them (T-Mobile) a shot. Will report back on that in a year or so. In the meantime, "Ma Bell, you ain't what you used to be."

New to the area, yes, another family migrating from Cal to Nixa. I go from full bars to zero bars block to block within Nixa. Spotty coverage at best and looking for a new provider... .

65 and 60 Interchange / James River, Springfield, MO 65804 Sat Apr 29, 2006

The T-Mobile SDA always goes into Network Search in the Valley at 65 and 60 / James River interchange. However, I have carried calls through that intersection with out dropping them. My Cingular / AT&T M56 phone did not have problems here. T-Mobile seems to do good around Springfield, however. The calls are a lot higher quality on the T-Mobile SDA and T809 phones than on AT&T / Cingular with M56 phones.

Service is excellent here in Springfield. I have never experienced a drop call and the voice quality is good to excellent. Data service on 3G is the best in the area, as of now writing this no 4G networks here yet. I push 3-5 mbits, and have topped out at 6 mbits. 3 is the limit on Verizon.

Virgin 3g totally stinks, can take 2 days to send a 30k pic over text message, many times 30 minutes to pull up a web page if ever. They should call it 1f instead. Virgin Support totally sux as they just hope you will go away. I think there selling a service they don't have. "BUYER BEWARE !" This smells like a class action Law Suite.. Also my opinion on the Samsung phone, I sent 5 of them back, SAMSUNG is a GENERIC word for JUNK. I own a $3000 TV, its buggier than a camels rump, 7 Samsung phones all Junk, 1 Samsung monitor died in less than a year. Made in Korea = JUNK... .and Terrible support.
