The reception in our area is horrible. No reception inside of a structure, outside calls can be made but you must stand still when you get a connection otherwise your call will be dropped. I get voice mails all the time, but show no incoming calls. You would think with all the customers AT&T has in this area they would put up a cell tower close by, the closest one is on hwy.51. I'm bundled up with AT&T for now with cell phones, land line and internet that's costing me nearly $300 a month, I'm looking at changing carriers!

Terrible reception. It used to be better, but can't even get a signal half the time in my house. I will have to try a new provider. AT&T says this is a low-service area

Verizon works great here! I was surprised. It sounds and picks up better then AT&T. I even get 3G service (EV)

I had pretty good service with AT&T a couple of years ago when I lived in Ridgeland, but since moving to Lake Caroline the service is pretty bad. It's sad to chase a cell signal from room to room and then have the call drop on you... I'm searching for a better service but not having much luck. Guess I'll have to wait for more towers to go up in this area to get a better signal.

Why isn't cellular south listed in the carriers? They are the only carrier that covers our state. My daughter switched and we all fight over her phone. ATT doesn't care much about our state and it shows. My daughter travels nationwide and has had great service with Mississippi's very own cellular south. I'm switching as soon as my contract is out.

Poor reception in and outside home. A drive to adjacent streets improves reception. A visit to ATT store was little help, as they said "oh, yes, that is a DEAD zone, sorry". A visit to Cellular South got a response that this area was well covered. I tried to get them to lend me a phone to test their coverage, but no luck.

I get terrible reception the majority of the time in the Madison / Gluckstadt area. There are several dead spots, especially where Cellular South's signal is strong. I have not been impressed and am looking for another carrier, but it appears there are not many options in this area.
