very bad reception I get no bars between 63 at bank of lucedale nowcentury bank all the way to power plant no bars and from power plant on 63 to chevrin truck stop no bars ecept from hurley ! use to have bars now none1 AT&T says that it is because 2 many customers! why dont they add more towers!

When I am in the town of Hurley, I have hit or miss reception. If I go outside our home and stand in a certain area of the yard, and wait, I may get two bars, but the signal is not steady. The phone is very good, so I think it is a tower problem, and I am also looking for another company besides cingular. I even offered to have a tower placed on the back of my property.

I have rarely, if ever, gotten a reception through this stretch of road.

I had the great Nokia for a couple of years. I commute back and forth between Moss Point and Lucedale. My phone could access the TDMA towers and the GSM network. Reception degraded when Cingular dropped the contract they had with Cellular South. We notice severe degradation of signal strength with they joined with AT&T. I had to change phones recently. I love everything about the LG7200 but the signal reception is not any better. I am convinced it's a tower / technology problem. My contractor has the good Audiovox phone and can't maintain signal when he comes over here from Mobile. I am convinced Cingular better improve service or else. My boss swears by Alltell. He travels all over the country and never has dropped calls or reception problems. Cingular's reputation in this area is not good and they are not improving fast enough for me. But I stuck with them because their plan was best for me and for my family. I don't care about bells and whistles, don't change ringtones, download anything, etc. I just want good, reliable cell phone service, a practical phone, with an affordable plan. I have the affordable plan and the practical phone. Where is the good service?
