My Alltell phone works good. I've switched to Verizon in Jan 2009 because they said they merged. Well, I have no service with my Verizon phone in my house. So, I cut my service to Verizon and reactavated my Alltell phone. I just tried it again, I got two new Verizon phones Sept 2009 and I have the same results. So now I have to go through the hassel of returning the phones again. Only problem now is Alltell converted there local store to Verizon. I don't understand if it's the phone or service with Verizon. I have two diffrent phones with Alltell that worked. My two diffrent phones with Verizon do not.
well I thought we were gonna get better reception when the merger took place but it hasnt happened yet we have both Alltel an verizon.hoping to b able to get rid of Alltel but verizons service hasnt improved like they said it would. the signal comes an goes with Verizon which is weird but what can you do.hopefully new changes are on the horizon for VERIZON!
There are 2 CDMA cellular carrier's towers up running at this location currently running on this tower ( Cellular South and Alltell ) with a third in the process of becoming live AT&T. AT&T said that cell should be up and running by no later than 07 / 01 / 2008 we will see if they can hold up to that statement.
Almost no reception in the RV park, unless you climb up on the roof and the weather is clear. Even then, you are guaranteed several dropped calls. Driving into Picayune doesn't help. The signals are patchy at best. Finally just paid the cancellation fee to get rid of Cingular. No point paying monthly for a service that is rarely offered.
I have a good signal throughout Picayune. No problems on I-59 or any of the highways. I just switched and noticed a huge improvement. I'm usually on 4 or 5 bars throughout the area and there's nowhere I get no signal. Prices also much better than former carrier. Alltel has to be the only provider I know of that has a consistently good signal throughout the area.
