AT&T reception has gotten really bad lately. I have several dropped calls every day. And I have to ask people to repeat themselves or they ask me to repeat myself. It's the classic "Can you hear me now? Hello?". I'll look at my signal strength when a call drops, and it's no bars, and then out of nowhere it jumps up to 4 or 5 and I have reception again. And it's not my phone - my old Nokia does it too. Somebody else mentioned voice mails coming in from nowhere because the phone never rang, and that's happening to me too. The AT&T support guys say the signal strength should be fine and that it's not their problem. Screw AT&T.

My friend that lives here has Sprint and his reception is horrible, so I tried out Cingular. They have a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy, so I figured why not? My reception is much better than his in the apartment - no dropped calls at all. In the apartment I have 2 or 3 bars, and outside the bars go to maximum.

Most Nokia GSM phones I've tried have poor to no reception. Siemens GSM phones have average to good reception. The Sony Ericsson T616 I'm currently using is average to below average. Bridgewater seems to be on the outer fringe of the GSM network in my area.

The signal strength isn't all that great, but this phone is awesome (RL4920). It's never given me a dropped call here. I used to have a Nokia and it dropped constantly.

Reception is ok on the road, but I have some trouble inside my apt (Van Mark). Ok inside if I use hands-free set.

We switched to Verizon yesterday from AT&T. I would always drop my calls, not get text, Voice mail would come in when I would never get a call. My wife and I were sick of it. Verizon works great. Sounds much better, and picks up all over the place. I got the Motorola W766 for me and the LG Cosmos for my wife (she loves to text). We are very happy and suggest anyone who is having trouble with their current network to try Verizon.
