Cellular One has launched service in Hungry Horse and Martin City, MT this week. The coverage is quite average. Unlike Verizon and Alltel, the service still ends at Coram (there's patchy iffy coverage in spots of Coram, but I would not count Coram as covered). Verizon and Alltel cover up to and including the town of West Glacier. In the town of Hungry Horse there's good coverage and the coverage connects through to Great Falls well. I work in the summers at a camp that's in Hungry Horse and I expect service to be great from this, finally I won't be the one whose phone doesn't work at camp! But this trip to Hungry Horse, besides checking out how the coverage was, was to drive up past the dam to see how things were looking over there and take some photos. The coverage ends just BEFORE Lion Lake. It'd have been nice if they could have at least made it to that nice little almost-in-town lake spot that's popular in the summer. Verizon and Alltel do, but barely. For that reason (not making it to Lion Lake, no one makes it to the dam... ) I'm rating the coverage a 3 - average. It's really a little below average but grade inflation, right? Overall I've really liked CellularOne and I highly recommend them if the coverage works for you. This site makes it so that the temptation to go back to Alltel is all gone for me :) Mark
