Anyone from Cameron who says they get good service with Verizon doesn't spend much time more than a mile from the cell towers. The only time I get Verizon service anywhere in the Cameron area is when I am within half a mile of a cell tower. My wife has a Chocolate and she gets cursed with slightly better reception than my env2. She'll get 0 bars on Verizon while I'm getting 3 bars roaming.

I get pretty good reception on the main roads, but most side streets I get dropped calls. I have 2 spots in my house that get reception. I would not recommend Sprint in this area.

Cameron really needs better cell service from somebody. I found this site and heard good things about Verizon but in my experience the reception is HORRIBLE. Maybe it's the phone but others I know using Verizon don't seem too thrilled with it either. You'll be lucky if you get a signal anywhere until you get closer to the interstate. I'll occasionally get 3-4 bars on 'Extended Network' but then it'll go back down to 0 bars because I'll pick up a Verizon signal from Fayetteville or somewhere that's too weak to use. I've used Cingular and now Verizon and they're both Horrible. I'm soon going to cancel and try Alltel. My brother has them and it isn't perfect but he usually gets more service than I get. I also think that's who Verizon's 'Extended Network' means so I'm hoping it will be a step up.

anywhere other than cities I don't have signal, and if I have 1 bar the call is so broken up that I cannot understand what the other person is saying. Alltel is always dropping my calls and if its raining you can forget about calling anyone.

I'm so glad that my fiance led me to Verizon Wireless, especially after being screwed over by NoTel (ahem... .Alltel). Alltel should be ashamed of themselves for "False Advertising" because they advertise coverage in all counties in North Carolina, and I've been to about all of those counties and am lucky to get at least 1 bar in most of those places. I signed up with Verizon Wireless about a couple of months ago, and it turns out that the Verizon In Network covers pretty much the entire state. I can get reception about anywhere I want to with Verizon (except for Camp Mackall, which is pretty much a "dead zone" for about any and every cell phone), and I'm not roaming! I like how I can be out "in the boonies" and can get anywhere from 3-5 bars on my Verizon phone whereas most everyone else cannot with most of their providers (Sprint, Alltel, and US Cellular in particular). I traveled to Ohio with my fiance a couple of weeks ago, and I got anywhere from 3-5 bars the entire way there (even in West Virginia)! I seriously think that Verizon needs to come to Moore County because alot of people are tired of getting screwed by Alltel and Verizon is more favoring towards Families and Small Businesses that rely much on cell phones to communicate back and forth. Trust me, you cannot go wrong with Verizon!
