Never had a single problem no matter where I go. Alot of the comments I have seen from other people are from May 2011 when Verizon was doing alot of tower maintanence due to tornadoes and applying 4G coverage to the area

I have lived in this area for 3 years and have always had issues. The dropped calls have decreased but now I am having issues placing calls at all. I will have three bars and as soon as I hit send they disappear and the call will not connect. There are several areas around here that are absolute dead zones and several areas where I know for sure that I will have bad reception. The poor service in the home is horendous. I should not have to go outside to get reception. I never did in the past so what has changed??? I call Verizon and get the typical run around. I swear they brain wash their reps as to what is "acceptible". If it would not be acceptible to them why should it be to us (customers). All my friends, regardless of carrier, have the same issues.

Verizon used to be good here but for some reason in the last three months I see my bars going up and down wildly and I randomly drop calls. My sister lives in the neighborhood across the street and has Verizon as does my brother. He has to go to the tird floor for reception?? Never had an issue with Alltel or Verizon so it is bizarre. Looking to switch to T-Mobile or ATT. Boost has great plans but the maps for boost and T-Mobile by my house are suspect and my friend has Sprint (which is boost) and she has terrible reception at my house.

I have been with Alltel / Verizon since 2001 and have never had dropped calls or poor reception. Beginning on Saturday, May 14th and continuing through today, suddenly I have 0 and 1 bars inside my house and around my area. I have 6 phones on my plan and they all have the same problem. Apparently Verizon has changed something, and not for the better. I'm in a heavily populated area, but the reception is like I live out in the sticks. It's terrible. I'm the second person to report this in this area this month. Please call Verizon and complain - I did.

Verizon carrier. Decent outside but inconsistent inside, particularly downstairs. Looking forward to the All-Tel integration to complete; based on other postings, seems like that carrier has good service and Verizon absorbing its towers can only be good for my service

Very poor reception in our home. Both my husband and I have Verizon and we both have terrible service. Little to no bars, calls are dropped constantly, or the person on the line cannot hear us. We are switching providers this week!

I am not sure why, but I always get really bad service around this area of Cary. I figure not every square mile can be covered so it isn't anything bad with Verizon, especially since I get great service everywhere else. This is just something to be aware of...

Currently have two active Verizon phones (long story). Bottom line- my old Nokia gets great coverage at home, while the new phone's (Audiovox CDM-8910) reception is horrific at home. Verizon says they cannot guarantee home coverage... Because I am using my company's intranet to order the phone, they only allow one exchange. Not willing to "try" another phone and get stuck with it, so will probably cancel the contract and switch my old phone to a new Verizon number.

I've been disappointed in Verizon since I found friends with Alltel and with Cingular have much better reception (upto 4 bars). Reception is much worse in summer due to large number of trees in the area.

From my home, reception stinks. 2 miles away in almost any direction, it's a lot better, but not perfect. Lost calls and distortion is common. I believe the phone is a major source of the trouble.
