After suffering with Cingular since I bought a house here last year, I finally bit the bullet and switched to Verizon. Although not perfect, it works in most places I travel to in Cashiers, Highlands and surrounding areas. But I don't understand why there's a long stretch of NC 107 from WCU to Glenville that's still a black hole. Having a near monopoly on wireless service in this part of the country, Verizon should try to serve its customers better than it does.

Mountainous area. Signal is in and out. Must move around some to get reliable connetction.
