Recption's always bad here at my house with Sprint- Nextels never had this problem, always five+ bars. The fact that the I330 doesn't have a suitable antenna doesn't help either-

We lose reception driving out of Lake Norman heading north. In and out of Charlotte, calls are dropped often. When we call each other, the phones don't always ring and we have to leave a message. For some reason, the message signals hours after the message was left. These phones are expensive, totally unreliable and the year contract was a big rip off. We are dropping it immediately and switching to Cingular, which doesn't sound much better.

Reception is horrible in my house, the number of reception bars vary from 0 - 1 depending where I am in the house. Lot's of dropped calls due to poor or weak signal.

I get real choppy reception in my bedroom. I don't have reception anywhere else in the apartment. This is not a problem with the area that I live in. The problem is with sprint. I ahve stayed in 3 different cities - Oklahoma City, Phoenix and Charlotte in 3 different states and I had the same problem with Sprint. I have gone between Sprint customer service and their technical support department at least 10 times without any result.

I have been with Alltel 3 years now. I tried Verizon, NO SERVICE at my house in Charlotte! Can you hear me now? NO! I also tried Cricket, bad! and Cingular was good, but there is very spotty service in rural areas and no service in northern New England where I frequently visit. Since switching to Alltel, I have had no problems. I have service everywhere I go. In and around Charlotte is very good. The only place I drop calls is on I-85 just north of Concord Mills. The signal is 2 to 3 bars at my house. I wish it was a litle bit better, but it's still good service compared to the other options in town.

Reception is in and out inside my apt, I have to sit still in certain places to have an extended conversation without dropping the call or going in and out. Calls are dropped consistently in certain places on my way to and from work in the Coliseum area... ..overall, the service is mediocre. I've been with Cingular for 4 years and was thinking about switching, but the more I read and talk to others it's obvious that I'll probably have poor reception in certain areas with whoever I choose... ... so, reluctantly, I think I'll stick with Cingular. On a more positive note, customer service is always helpful and easy to work with.

I get dropped calls for nearly 1 of every 2 conversations! Can't wait to switch carriers. Had AT&T previously and although not perfect, was 100% improvement from current Nextel service. Talking to another Nextel subscriber virtually guarantees that one of us will lose the connection prior to completing a 5 min call! Outrageous!

SprintPCS coverage the Charlotte area is very spotty and unreliable. In the Highland Creek area it is aweful, to say the least--you might hear 1 / 3 of the phone conversation. I've even been in D.C. (Tyson's Corner area) and my phone was roaming. How ridiculous... the nation's capital and I'm roaming on one of the largest so-called networks. And SprintPCS customer service is horrendous. Worst of any vendor I've ever been associated with.
