My boyfriend and I both have Verizon, he with a Motorola Razr and me with a Nokia phone. We both have very poor reception and have had lots of dropped calls in the neighborhood.
Verizon service is terrible at this location. Verizon has performed field testing and concluded that this address is a "dead" area (The Pointe Apt Complex) and have offered to cancel my contract.
The reception is very spotty inside. One spot, i'll have reception, but it'll fade when I'm upstairs. If I'm downstairs? Forget about it.. I just walk outside to talk, but even then, I have to keep walking to find perfect reception. Least drops calls my arse!
AT&T sucks. they have known about this area and the constantly dropped called for over 5 years and still nothing. FCC needs to take control from the cell companies instead of letting them make the rules.
Verizon Cell Reception in Ballantyne corporate park is pitifull. While in my office, the phone will not ven receive calls, and spends all day roaming and ultimately my battery will be dead by the end of the day.
Coverage is spotty within the house. Out in Charlotte I usually get good reception except around Sharon / Runnymeade where there is a definite black spot in coverage.
Calls become scratchy and I drop about one out of every 5 calls. Coverage has been bad here for all the carriers I've had here (Verizon, Sprint, and now AT&T). The only one that worked fine was Alltel. There is a high voltage line that runs about 100 yards in front of my house which could cause the problem.
