Signal constantly varies from 4 green bars to "no service" in and around our house. We have no service most of the time. We've been told by Nextel that "we're too far from the tower", "we're too close to the tower", "we're in a saturated area and there is a hand-off problem between the towers", "we're in a fringe area", "we're in a no inside coverage area", "flip phones don't work as well as conventional phones". All the maps I can find show our house is clearly within the coverage area. Honestly, the service is just poor and Nextel refuses to admit it or do anything about it. We have had a total of 10, yes 10 different phones over the past 9 months and all of them perform the same (poorly) at this location. My neighbors have simliar service issues.
