I have tried to be patient with this company of Metro PCS and it is not working for me or any of my family members. All the phones mess up, are slow and freeze way too much, also it has VERY poor signal..too poor I may add. Only works well around cities, I don't recommend around this area.

Only way to use the phone inside is to lay it down and us a bluetooth. All I have to do is touch the phone and the call is dropped. Internet connect is the same way. Unless something drasticly happens I will be finding a new service when contract is up. This is sad. No help from Sprint and I have been a loyal customer since 2002. Service just keep getting worse.

I get good voice connections in most of goldsboro, but the data connection is not nearly as good, and it's slow. Edge only, no 3g. It's great that they have the largest 4g network in the nation, but that doesn't do me any good when I can't even get 3g.

I haven't seen 3G coverage since I got here, plus I bought a iPhone 4 on the way here... . It's a bummer having to be on edge network constantly. I get complaints people can't hear me well too. It drops calls at least once a day. I guess it's do able. I just wished I had 3g

I can only get reception indoors for a minute or two, and outside is not much better. I don't understand why cell reception is so bad in this area...

Turn your head and you've lost reception. Is there a different model which picks up better. Everyone has to walk outside to talk on the phone and you still will lose reception.

Us cellular is great around eastern north carolina, service is good in town but will randomly drop from 6 bars to 2 in the same spot. If your looking for good basic cell phone coverage and not planning on traveling more than 45 minutes west of Goldsboro, Us cellular is your best bet. If you travel alot or are into smartphones and mobile web / e-mail steer clear, there data service are 1x and very slow. Go for Verizon or Sprint if you want the EVDO high speeds for fast data transfers.

I've had more dropped calls with Cingular in two years than I ever had with Altell in five. To say Cingular is horrible would be the understatement of the century. Combine that with Cingulars crappy customer support, restrictive subscription rules, and the RAZR's willingness to break at a moments notice and it's no wonder i'm drooling at the opportunity to go back to Altell. What a nightmare.

I always have great reception throughout NC and SC. Yeah, there are two places between Goldsboro and Mt. Olive that are weak, but other than that it is rare that I have any connection problems. I have been with Alltel for 4+ years now because they had the largest coverage area, but now I wonder if any of the other carriers have good coverage. It is time to renew my plan and I am looking for a better plan. Alltell raised their plan rates considerably.

I switched from Alltell to Sprint this past week (The piece in AllTell phone to charge it was bad; was not able to get a charge, nor check my AllTell phone for messages, etc); so I went to Sprint store here in Goldsboro. In Goldsboro, have a good reception when traveling with my Sprint PCS phone, yet for the 2nd (yes 2nd time stopping by store and 2nd phone!) that they switched me out for, I get no reception at my house! My phone calls lose signal and I have to go outside or back into town for good reception. My sister has had Sprint for years now and no complaints; I had it for 2 days and I'm not very happy / satisfied with my lack of reception here at home. The representatives at Sprint are very nice, but that doesn't carry my reception home! lol I need a good carrier in the Rosewood area off of US 70 W.

Driving on Hwy 70 and some of the busier streets in town, I have lost reception pretty frequently. I've had Cingular for a while, and been satisfied until recently. It seems as though everywhere I go, I get complaints that people can't hear me, and I have lost reception.
