Ever since Sprint let me out my contract I've been with us cellular I must say they have excellent coverage never had a drooped called since I had them and I've been all over the eastern nc and had great reception where others on. when I was in the state of Maryland had prefect coverage different carriers have no coverage nnd I wasn't even in native coverage. bottom line us cellular is the best keep up the good work

Always have great reception and have had Alltel since 2000. They have the best coverage in the Carolina's and I just re-upped my service for 2 more years and got another Razr.

I always have great reception throughout NC and SC. Yeah, there are two places between Goldsboro and Mt. Olive that are weak, but other than that it is rare that I have any connection problems. I have been with Alltel for 4+ years now because they had the largest coverage area, but now I wonder if any of the other carriers have good coverage. It is time to renew my plan and I am looking for a better plan. Alltell raised their plan rates considerably.

Us cellular is great around eastern north carolina, service is good in town but will randomly drop from 6 bars to 2 in the same spot. If your looking for good basic cell phone coverage and not planning on traveling more than 45 minutes west of Goldsboro, Us cellular is your best bet. If you travel alot or are into smartphones and mobile web / e-mail steer clear, there data service are 1x and very slow. Go for Verizon or Sprint if you want the EVDO high speeds for fast data transfers.

I get good voice connections in most of goldsboro, but the data connection is not nearly as good, and it's slow. Edge only, no 3g. It's great that they have the largest 4g network in the nation, but that doesn't do me any good when I can't even get 3g.
