AT&T customer of 10 years and had FEW call drops or other related problems. Reception pretty good with the occasional call drop from hwy driving. Overall around (Greensboro) is always good.

What crappy phone service! On a good day I may get two bars outside, but usually it's one bar. Inside my house, it's either 1 bar or no bars. Many dropped calls and phone reception is constantly breaking up. Sprint could care less. I'm changing phone carriers next weekend. What a waste of money. I live in the city, so no excuses from Sprint. They need to stand behind their service, as crappy as it is.

Sprint's coverage map indicates that I am in the BEST area for coverage. My phone displays 0-1 bar! When I travel to Charlotte for business (I-73 South to I-85 South) I on average experience five dropped calls... each way!

With my phone laying flat downstairs, I get 2 bars. If I pick up the phone, it drops to 1 or zero bars. Upstairs I can get 3-4 bars, but I can't get 4g anywhere in my home. I can't even get 4g if I stand out on the front porch.

Friendly / Starmount, Greensboro, NC 27410 Sat Jan 08, 2011

Apparently, some time ago, the neighbors were asked if they wanted a cell tower in our area and they said no. We didn't live here at the time. Hey, AT&T, ask me, ask me! You can put one on my roof if you want to! I'm sick of NO coverage here in the Dead Zone of Friendly and Starmount. I get about a bar most of the time in the house, but sometimes nothing unless I reboot the phone and wait a couple of minutes to make a call. I got a new Samsung smart phone for Christmas. It's going back because, while my reception with my old phone is spotty, there was ZERO reception with the new (and very cool) phone. Bah Humbug, AT&T! I want to know why you're ignoring a pricey neighborhood like this... there's a huge church just up the hill with a steeple just screaming for a cell tower... and I'm sure they would appreciate the income! Take a hint, AT&T... I'm thinking seriously of switching services, and I've been a loyal customer for about 15 years~

Atrocious. Absolutely, undeniably, horrible. The phone gets 2 bars in the parking lot and 1 in the apartments. I thought it was the phone but it was tested to be fine.I asked Verizon what to do about it, their answer: buy a mini Verizon tower for $250 to put in my apartment.

I am interested in the bundling services that AT&T offers but tried it once before and get no service at all in my house not even when walking up and down the street within a third of a mile each way. Please do something to improve the reception so I can switch!

I live between Alamance Church Rd and Forest Oaks. The reception for ANY phone is horrible. My phone is useless. And now that I have a bundled digital phone, cable and internet, when my power / cable goes out, I get into the car to drive down the road to call Time Warner or Duke Power. It doesn't matter who I go with, my phone simply does not work. And any vistors who come here that use other providers also can not get service. The neighborhood is a DEAD ZONE.

Just an amazing network AT&T operates here. 3G speeds are mind blowing with the new enhanced 7.2mbps technology here, coverage is superb (there are a few areas, but all carriers have the same issue) They recently added 6 new cites and 150 T1's for an even better upgrade (DEC 19, 2009) Good job AT&T, I look forward to your future coverage.

I am a convert back to T-Mobile after a year of not being able to converse in a coherent manner, and with the fluctuating signal of Verizon. Seriously, have you heard to ring sound on an outgoing call, or music on hold with V?! Way too overly digitised. Anyway, Thrilled with T-Mobile in the Triad. Full signal almost everywhere and 3G which is ACTUALLY 3G. Not some crappy 10 years-ago non-simultaneous voice slow connection. I can actually tether my phone to my mac and get >2Mbps around town. Sold! T-Mo FTW!

verizon is spectacular. i've had Verizon 5+ years. I may have had about 10 dropped calls the entire time. I get service pretty much anywhere. obviously, if your in the middle of nowhere (no businesses for 20 miles) YOUR NOT GONNA GET SERVICE. think about where you are before you comment on the service. if your surrounded by llamas and cow pastures, no company is gonna get good service. either way Verizon is great. I was on a cruise in the middle of the ocean somewhere in or around mexico and could still make calls. i've lived in mcleansville, browns summit, and greensboro and hardly had any problems. although I do recall going to roxboro and not being able to get service inside the house. but I was in ROXBORO, down a dirt road in the middle of NOWHERE. I was shocked to see all the neggative comments about verizon. apparently those people live with the llamas and there is no hope for cell phone service in llama land.

I very rarely have any reception problems. I am a service tech and I drive all over the triad. I actually live in a little city south of Greensboro, and get great reception in my house and pretty much anywhere I go. I think Sprint gets a bad rep because they weren't any good back in the day but no problems at all. The phone has a lot to do with reception too so review the phone before you buy.

Pretty good, although I can always hear people better than they can hear me. I think they must have something skewed so I think my service is better than it is, but there are few places I don't have enough service to make a call.
