The reception here is horrible. I receive texts sometimes 6-12 hours after they were sent. Sometimes not even then. Calls are dropped while I'm sitting at home in the same area. And often have very low bars or no bars around the general Greenville area. After the hurricane, Sprint network has had issues and I don't think they've fixed them all because before the hurricane I never had these issues.

VERIZON SUCKS IN GREENVILLE, NC! THEY KNOW IT AND WILL NOT FIX IT! I receive zero to no reception routinely in my apartment (Wilson Acres), which is directly in the middle of the town. On the ECU campus, I cannot walk and talk or again the call is dropped and you lose reception. When I call to complain, my call gets dropped. When I did get through, Verizon sent me a $250 network extender to help my coverage. However, the network extender requires my high-speed internet connection thus killing my ability to do research online. Moreover, when on the network extended, I cannot receive phone calls... when people call me they receive a recording that my phone is out of service. My contract expires in March, I will then drop Verizon and never come back!

I can make calls.. but it takes about 10 minutes to load a basic web page or check my email. I'm paying for 3G but can only access an overloaded EDGE network.

AT&T didn't really provide the network and improve is not really in here. It's sucks pay for monthly fee as $160 to $200 even not working really here. AWFUL SERVICE! cell and customer service. You can't get anything done when you go into the stores and there is no reception on my travel route to work for at least 30 min. DO NOT GO TO AT&T!

don't ever use at&t... it's useless and need to have another cellphone with another company if you have it... .

I usually do not have any problems with my cellphone through US Cellular. Rarely will have a dropped call. Very satisfied with US Cellular. Plan to stay with them.

No Problems. Taken nationwide, phone has cool features / apps and high speed internet. No complaints! Verizon's the best!

Dropped calls inside of house -- have to go out to use Blackberry Storm. They have "updated" software and towers and still drops every other call.

US Cellular had a deal at Christmas last year where they were giving Blackberry Pearls for FREE with a 2 year contract. Unfortunately, I fell for it. Come to find out, THEY ARE HURTING FOR BIZ so much that they push smartphones that THEY KNOW THEIR NETWORK CANNOT SUPPORT! As long as I'M NOT using my Blackberry for ANYTHING like the internet or checking voicemail I get most of my calls. But if the Blackberry is busy doing ANYTHING like checking the email servers, which it does EVERY 10-15 MINUTES, ALL of my calls GO STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL. I found out from USC tech service team that the network in Gville isnt fast enough for me to do ANYTHING online and receive calls at the same time! Yet, when I go to the store to get out of my contract they tell me its MY BLACKBERRY not the network! RIIIGGGHHTT. They tell me that its my phone and since Im beyond my 30 days into my contract, and since I have no insurance on the phone, Id have to BUY A NEW PHONE! What!?!?!? We'll let the NC Attorney General decide this one, along with the Better Biz Bureau. Its called FAILURE TO PERFORM, and thats a definite breach of contract. If you have a phone with o internet u should be fine, otherwise, STAY AWAY FROM USC. The NETWORK SUXXXXXXX.

Wow, where do I even start with Sprint. They have a tower 1 / 5 a mile from my house (confirmed by multiple reps) and yet, DROPPED freakin calls. All the time! Don't even think about calling in to customer service and trying to get anything done. You will get someone from a 3rd world country and 80% of the phone convo you are trying to understand what eachother is saying. I have had several carriers and Verizon is the only one that works at my house. The customer service is much better as well. I like that I can go to the local store and they take care of my needs! And believe it or not, their customer service is right here in the good ol usa. Do not get sprint! You will regret it!

Cannot get signal inside the dorm! Last year had no problem in Tyler, right next door, this year in College Hill Suites I have to go outside and walk around to find any bars at all - totally sucks.

Alltel's service here is great! I don't have any dropped calls and I always have all my bars. The only thing I don't like is the phone selections. There aren't any affordable new phone types to chose from (such as Verizon or AT&T). I hate to switch but I want a better phone.

I have been so impressed since switching from US Cellular to Verizon. The customer service at the Verizon Store next to the kia dealership on Greenville blvd. has far surpassed my expectations! The service is great, I've had no dropped calls thus far and they have high speed internet on the pda devices! Us cellular is so terrible. The phone selection is extremely limited. I work for the hospital and my husband works for ECU, Verizon gives us 20% off our bill each month! GREAT company. I would recommend Verizon to anyone looking for excellent customer service and awesome phones to chose from!

Do not leave the city and expect to get reception! Nextel only works in town and major highways. This is a major inconvenience in Eastern NC. Not only is the reception poor, but the customer service is even worse. I couldn't find a competent sales rep anywhere (I tried 3 different stores before giving up) After my phone broke they were only willing to give me a $25 discount on a new phone after committing to another 2 year contract! Good bye Nextel / Sprint. US Cellular, here I come!
