I can only get a signal sometimes at my front window. I can also get one right outside my front door (if I feel like getting eaten by mosquitoes). The rest of my place there is no signal and I constantly miss calls. Also in town (Walmart and such) I will have a signal in part of the store and no signal in another. AT&T is aweful for service on Cherry Point and the surounding areas.

This is the only place I have found even a weak signal and it is only a one mile stretch near craven / carteret county line, otherwise I get great reception everywhere, all areas of Harlow, even 35 miles off shore all along the NC coast. For local fishing enthusiast, US Cellular is the way to go. I've been all over the state and have not experienced any loss of coverage anywhere except that one stretch of rd. on Lake(nine mile) road.

Extremely poor service. I cannot send or receive MMS. T-Mobile has to step up to the plate and get with the program.

I had Alltel, which had excellent reception out here. When Verizon bought out Alltel and I was switched to Verizon, the service has dropped - poor reception frequently, occasionally drops.

My Motorola Krave is awesome! Verizon is awesome! This is the best phone and phone company I have had and been with. Reception for incoming and outgoing calls is the best! Downloading messages, music, games, and apps is wonderful! Internet and Vcast was faster before the Alltel hook up but still is awesome enough to keep in my plan! I am absolutely enjoying my Krave ZN4! Small dead zone areas include Mccotter blvd, the 101 curve entering / leaving Havelock, the small bridge area of Black Creek in Newport, and past the camp ground on Adams Creek its still great but can run into a "floating bad spot" from time to time. Acutal dropped calls are maybe no more than 10 a month in the house, less than that outside. My sound is very clear... people think i'm in the city all the time! I love my Motorola Krave... the days of using a wire ear piece and holding my phone up like the statue of liberty, for reception, are long gone! Verizon rules!

Perhaps the base and its radar systems are effecting the cell signal somehow?

From Mcotter turn east on 101 I lose signal at the end of the fence at the base then it is off and on all the way to Harlowe. Mostly off. Alltel customers now get full bars down it that area thanks to a new tower somewhere close by but even with Verizon buying Alltel we haven't seen the tower yet. Verizon service isn't good until your in Morehead City

We do have SOME cell reception at the area where we live on Adams Creek Rd.but further towards hwy 101 the reception is great. Only one dead spot on 101. Inside the house there are prime spots with reception and some without. Still able to txt message and get picture messages. The night mins start 7pm every day and weekend starts 7pm Friday ending Monday am at 7. The even the national plan is very reasonable because it's hard to use your anytime mins. Incoming calls are free. Monthly free moble to mobile unlimited. Great plan and decent service for an area at the edge of nowhere.

US Cellular is the only way to go, unless you are in and around Oriental. Other than that, I always have coverage wherever I travel!
