Only one bar at my house but no problems calling out or incoming. Mostly no issues except for more remote areas. Daughter has Verizon with all kinds problems here. Was this review helpful to you?
We live up on Gilliam Mountain in Edneyville but annexed with Hendersonville. We have no coverage whatsoever. Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon has been aware of the poor to NO cell / wifi reception in the Fruitland area for years. They choose to do nothing about it. Unacceptable, especially if you are running a business dependent upon Internet access. Green Mountain Rd.Hendersonville, NC 28792. NO coverage much of the time now august 2014Was this review helpful to you?
Have used Verizon for 4 years, pay as you go, it was just abit to expensive when I get very good coverage with USCellular unlimited everything for $40 a month. Was this review helpful to you?
Only rarely do we have a poor signal since using USC. AT&T was poor here a year ago, returned their phone. Verizon was spotty here, but family and friends with iPhones seem to always have a signal here. Was this review helpful to you?
Carrier is Straight Talk and they use some Verizon towers. Phone is iphone 5. I had reception until about 3-4 weeks ago and now I have to stand out in the middle of my yard to get one bar. Straight talk unable to help me through their trouble shooting process. It is the signal and not the phone! Not sure whether Verizon has other towers that will carry where I live... checking that tonight. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception frequently is in and out of Verizon to no serivce and extended service. phone does not ring for incoming calls and often refuses to call out. Realy inconsistaent and annoying. if problem persists wi ll switch to another carrierWas this review helpful to you?
Contrary to the last commentator (is there a way to report that post for offensive content?), I do not even know how to make meth nor do I use a CB radio. Neither do my neighbors in the immediate surrounding area. No moonshine distillers or sisters that are also wives either, in case you were wondering. Got to love people who put the first three letters in the word "assumption"... They are correct in their statement that after the firehouse leaving Hendersonville there is no reception, however. The only company that seems to officially cover this area is Verizon. I do not own a Verizon phone at this time, so I cannot confirm this. Despite AT&T having a tower on the other side of the mountain range (less than 2.5 miles from my location), reception indoors at our house is awful. If I walk down the hill and into the valley, I can get 1 bar in spots. Sprint / Virgin seems to do alright for voice and data indoors (one bar depending upon where you are in the house), but their official maps do not cover our area. I'm debating purchasing a Verizon MiFi since their map lists our area as being within the 3G coverage area. If I bite the bullet, I'll let you all know how it works. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T added their 3g network to Hendersonville and it is amazing! Some dead zones aren't dead zones anymore, call quality is improved, and data is 3x faster than Verizon (in my tests)Was this review helpful to you?
Coming from Verizon (the monopoly carrier around here) I was expecting a HUGE drop in coverage quality. While service did go down in some places (Crab Creek Rd), call quality increased 10 fold as well as lees dropped calls. If you live somewhere with AT&T signal, they're the better choice simply because of call quality itself. According to a recent press release, 3g is expected sometime by the end of the year for both Henderson and Buncombe counties. This is great news! Was this review helpful to you?
