Moved out here 3 / 11 and already had Sprint. They gave us free roaming and a "signal booooster" (is Halloween) to "help" with our service. Still the worse service. Calls are dropped, break up or just can't be heard speaking. It is very frustrating to be able to hear someone on the other end asking if you are there while yelling "can you hear me"! After 7 months of compalints Sprint tec support has generosly offered to let me out of my 2 year contract when I can go into one of their stores with proof of address other than our change of billing address made when we moved. I would have said how much I hate Sprint and their customer service except every employee I have dealt with has been wonderful.

Voice coverage is ok, however there seems to be dead spots in places. Do not purchase the data package as I had a smartphone recently and data coverage was very poor to the point that I could not get pages to load and if they did it was very slow. The data is not 3G speed in this area maybe others. Not a happy camper with them on the data side of things. If voice is all you need that it may be ok.

Atat sucks. No coverage at all. Atat said dont use your phone at your home. Just use it away from your home. Not reliable at all. Do not get atat. I switched back to Verizon, even though their customer service sucks, I dont talk to them. I need reliable cellular service.

ATT admits, "We are expanding our coverage every day but unfortunately this is one of the few areas we haven't reached yet." No coverage.

While in the Hertford-Edenton area we got zero coverage. ATT has nothing to brag about in thr Inner Banks / Outer Banks Area.

We get usable service from downtown Hertford - about 8 miles away. It really depends on the phone model. Other phone have been useless here. The new tower across Holiday Island Rd.(Verizon, I think) did not help.

Can't receive calls, only voice mail. Virtually impossible to dial out to retrieve voice mails also... Usually have to drive up the road to make the outgoing call...

Phone usally stays in analog and keeps losing signal, sometimes can't even make a call until I get out in the clear. Also constant dropped calls.

Verizon reception is partly digital and sometimes analog, but never good. I was told it was a digital area and would be good!
