Could not find a signal as we drove around the Highlands-Cashiers area. We finally got a spotty signal as we got close to Dillard, GA. (Our second phone, Cingular, faired no better.) I guess the Highlands area is truly a great place to get away from it all (just don't count on a cell phone in case of an emergency).

Absolutely no reception on west side of VZ Top Rd.in building even when stnding outside on deck. Seems that a tower somewhere between Scaly and Highlands would be a good idea.

As much as I pay for my bill I would like to get decent service at the house where I live to make phone calls and stuff. It is ridiculous. Is there some way you can improve it Verizon? ??

verizon is only provider to get service in most areas even on top of vztop I get service all over property except for my condo bldg(frustrating) hope it keeps improving

It is definitly the quality of your phone. Now that I've upgraded to the GZ 1, my reception has greatly improved in the out skirts of Highlands.

This area is well impossible to even try to make a phone call or recieve them also.Where I live in the country club is a problem area especially when my power goes out most likely it also takes out my house phone too so I am back there with no outside link to the world so if I even needed the toiwn fire depatment or EMS and lets not forget the police there is now way to even contact them at all. Very scary when that happens. Something has to change very soon as well I have the can you hear me now, well duh NO,ooops we're bad telling you that LIE as we didn't try to come up to our mountain town and scope out neighborhoods to see the trouble at wrist to face. Well for the amount of my bill I demand a tower or hey I can just cancel how's that.
