I live in Henderson Park off Bud Henderson Road; I always have 5 bars on my phone. However; my neighbors that have other carriers always have reception problems. GO ALLTEL!

I had AT&T before and could never get reception in my house. Since I switched to NExtel I have full bars all the time. I've dropped maybe 5 calls in the year that i've had the phone. the only place I don't have service is down Beatis Ford Rd. going toward Charlotte, by the new developments

I can see a cell phone tower out my back door less than a mile away and the reception is still awful... constantly losing calls.

Reception in and around my home in Huntersville (near Hopewell HS) is very poor with daily dropped calls. I also have very fair to poor service at work in both my uptown and south end office locations.

We often fluctuate between no reception and 1 bar. Coverage is horrible. Another tower is desparately needed. We get much better coverage with our work phone through Verizon. Will switch our personal service unless this is fixed ASAP. Don't ignore Huntersville!

Huntersville off of Beatties Ford reception is absolutely horrid. We are in desperate need of a tower in the area. I pay for a data plan and cannot use it at home, I've tried Blackberry, Motorola and HTC, phones all have the same horrible coverage. 2 bars if I'm lucky, NEVER get 3G... ... ...

Verizon was the bomb, rock solid coverage all over Charlotte for me. I tried the iphone for 3 days in parallel with my Verizon phone and it seemed passable. Unfortunately even when the iPhone says you have network or 3g you don't. The call quality is horrible, drops frequently even with 5 bars. Also irritating that when you go to place a call it takes 4-8 seconds to actually connect and hear the phone ringing. Often times the other party answers before I even hear the phone ring. I would NOT recommend ATT to anyone ever. I'm breaking my contract and going back to Verizon. There's a reason Consumer Reports rated ATT last in the top 25 markets in 2009 and there's a reason Verizon was rated #1 in 24 / 25 top cities.

I've had Verizon in the past... switched to Alltel for about 7 years, and as fate would have it, I have Verizon again. Alltel had the best service of all the carriers. My first experience with a cell phone was with the old AT&T. That was the worst, ever!

Horrible reception in house. Must go to one corner of upstairs bedroom to get one bar. Appears that the entire area is just a dead zone for coverage!

Does not work inside, continuously drops calls throughout Huntersville. Switched from Nextel phone to Hybrid Sprint / Nextel phone. Worst mistake I could have made. After calling a million times to technical support they actually told me that Sprint phone service is worse here than Nextel phone service. Amazing that they promote the Hybrid phone as being better signal then after you spend the $250 bucks they let you know that it actually has worse reception. All together Sprint / Nextel blows, if you have to have the 2-way for work you will have to deal with it, if you don't need it there is no reason on earth to own a Sprint or Nextel phone.
