I get great reception at my home, school, and work. Also, Ive never had a problem on base, at the beach, or on Western Blvd. My phone is a crappy, but other LGs are great. I have had Cingular for almost 4 years, and the only problem I have ever encountered with service was on Hwy. 101 (near Ellis Airport and Mikes Farm) and in the Verona / Dixon area. Otherwise, the service is great. However, I am currently looking for a new service for when I go to college. I have heard that AT&T's service is horrible in the mountians of North Carolina, where I will be going to school. I have been all the way up and down the east coast of the USA and into Canada with Cingular and Ive never had a problem.

I switched from US Cellular to Cingular. Not a good move. Calls drop while traveling on 17 south of Jacksonville and no bars in Rock Creek where we live. I was told it is the only plan to have while traveling... the person that told me must not travel. I will be changing again even though it will be costly.

I typically get 3-5 bars inside the house with my v551, and my husband's v220 gets typically either the same or one bar less than mine does. I get great reception all over Jacksonville, even on the bases. I get no reception inside the Comissary on New River, but I didn't get any reception there with US Cellular, either. Reception in the Jacksonville Mall is touch-and-go with both Cingular and US Cellular, in my experience with these carriers. I had a LG VX4400 with US Cellular.

When it was suncom I got a minimum 3bars inside and outside. Since T-Mobile took over I get NOTHING... .absolutely sucks... im paying for two lines that we cant use until we get to the scotchman on 53... no service in verona or haws run / southwest. T-Mobile claims I should have 1-2 bars... yea right.. they dont even have any kind of contracts in place with other wireless companies so that we can roam off other towers to have service... ..I have been with this company for 5years and was not disatisfied til T-Mobile took over..I will def be switching companies come february. How can a company take over another company but not take over their towers? kinda pointless!

I've actually used a few different phones through the years with U.S. Cellular; They all performed equally. I tried phones from four different providers before finding U.S. Cellular; I couldn't get a signal even outside my home from the first four (sorry, after all these years I can't recall who the four were). I had never heard of U.S. Cellular before that time, but was growing desperate. The first thing I noticed was that I had a signal when I got out of my car at home. The second thing was that after entering my home I no longer had a signal. Overall it's sometimes possible to hold a conversation inside; other times I have to exit the house (and sit in the car if it's raining!). I have to add that I have ALWAYS had a signal anywhere else I can think of. Also, visiting friends of mine or neighbors DON'T get a signal here All of this is pretty much moot now; I have unlimited long distance 24 / 7 Nationwide plus ten calling features after switching my land line to my cable company, and it costs a lot less than what the first land line had been charging me just to have a phone on the wall, no nothing. I have never had a serious problem with U.S.Cellular. Their insurance carrier raised my deductible from $35.00 to $50.00 after I lost my first phone and filed a claim. And the next time I needed a replacement the first two I was sent had problems and had to be returned. But that's not U.S.Cellular, it's the carrier they use.

I have been forced to become Verizon. With Alltel, there were no problems. Since the Verizon takeover was finalized, my reception has been poor, and customer service in relation to the problem worse. I used to have 4 bars at my home and now mostly two to occasionally three. Not happy.

Was standing at the Veriozon store in the mall and had absolutly no reception and they couldnt tell me why! Might be a good company on the west coast but sucks here on the east coast. Also, reception is at best 1, maybe 2 bars and thats on a shiny day with no clouds out, on base.
